I just can’t see how they can bring him back into their starting 11.
The abuse he would get even at home games would over ride anything they do on the pitch.
I realise they have a legal problem with him not being charged but it would be suicide to even include him in the match day squad.
The last thing the rags need is that scumbag sat on the bench with cameras focusing on him oppo fans singing shite etc.
Then again this is utd we’re talking about
Shameless club who put the players value above all else.
Hope they do include him it will be glorious to watch the twats being ridiculed and that horrible twat squirming on the bench.

Even for a club who' value profit above all else, its staggering that the vile creatures return has even been up for discussion, and its equally mind blowing that the beast has support from many quarters (admittedly many from cultures who see women as second class citizens and open to abuse)

Honestly......What sort of a message does this send?? Its abhorrent, you cannot have heard that audio or seen the injuries not to have reached that conclusion......only a **** would defend this ****.

With respect I disagree... everyone deserves a second chance and I believe that philosophy has been embraced by the lady in question. If she has forgiven him, so should everyone else. If he does owt bad again, well that's a different story.

Look at this for a comparison:

and he was found guilty, MG was not.

What has puzzled me about this today, apparently Utd wanted to make some announcement on Monday (their 1st game of the season) but that has been delayed as they want to include the 3 United Lionesses in the process. I know Australia and New Zealand is far away, but in 2023.... have they not heard of zoom?

I am not a fan of Utd. obviously, but if this bloke had been promised a decision by a certain date and now its delayed cos of this or because a group of female United fans plan to protest at the Wolves game, well I am beginning to think that things are not being done right.
Jesus. Just read this. You are so naive about what people like Greenwood are like.
My step daughter has suffered mental physical and psychological abuse by a now ex partner. She kept going back to him as he was so coercive and persuasive. He turned guilt and blame on to her using threats and blackmail. It was and still is horrific. With ours and a couple of her siblings and friends help she has eventually gone to the police. CPS are deciding what to charge him with. Police bail conditions didn't stop him harassing her by phone at all hours. Police have just texted us to say he will be arrested again this morning for those breaches.
We have since found out he has assaulted a previous partner and was arrested. He convinced her to drop charges. I pray to God we can convince my stepdaughter to continue being so brave.
Greenwood is an absolute scum bag and those audios should be enough to convince anyone of his guilt despite it not going to court. If Utd decide he can carry on his career there I hope they get mercilessly criticised for it.
You sir by encouraging a 2nd chance condone his actions which I guarantee will not stop.

The world is full of people who are willing to let the odd sexual assault or bit of violence towards women slide if they like what the person does.

Beating up his girlfriend barely affected Chris Brown's career, and this is a man whose fans are mainly female, I'd guess. Mike Tyson goes to prison for rape and on his release, is instantly brought back into the mainstream, not just as a top level boxer (fair enough, he's served his time), but also has no issue getting work as some sort of light comic relief in movies like The Hangover. Roman Polanski gets a standing ovation at the Oscars despite fleeing the country. I get that people who serve to make money off someone would be willing to let it slide, but the only reason they can make money off them in the first place is that enough people couldn't give a shit unless it's the sort of serial stuff or stuff involving children (although only that has been in the past few years - nobody still gives a shit about what people like Bowie got up to).

Haha. They’ve bought a player for £77m who has evidence of a stress fracture on his spine, which will mean he’s likely to be unable to play 2 games a week.

Those idiots.
Spine!!! When I skim read it. I presumed it meant shin splints or such like.

That does sound quite serious and high risk.
Maybe it’s not lol.

Reading between the lines I assumed that his family had talked to her family, told her what she did was stupid because she and her family could have been rich, living with and marrying a professional footballer.

She then dropped the charges. And I guess they're still together or she is due a big payout for dropping the charges.

The last thing ANYONE seems to be bothered about is violence towards women.
Her family knew this from the start. They were apparently unhappy about her outing him on social media, presumably because they wanted their daughter (and so themselves) to have access to his money and (at the time) prestige. This young woman has been manipulated and pressured by both her own family, Greenwood and God knows what other parties (I'm gonna guess 'representatives' from Utd have also had words with her). She's a victim surrounded by scum and anyone who thinks otherwise - once aware of the facts - is scum as well.

I actually hope he goes to West Ham and does really well just to prove to the deluded rag fans that he wasn't just to blame for how bad they are .............had it not been Maguire it would have been some other poor sod that would have got it in the neck ..... ..... said it time and time again last season that take him out of the side the problem remains

City 6-3 United
Liverpool 7-0 United

13 goals conceded in two games against your hated rivals and Maguire not even in the side for either game ............ So let the deluded sods get all giddy that he's gone when the reality is that them issues are still there
I think he’s a decent player.
But I can’t get over the fact he smashed a seventeen year old Foden.
Putting Foden out for a considerable time.

He didn’t need to either. He saw his chance. And nailed Him.

if he does play for the rags it will be interesting what stance the ladies team take.
As far as I'm concerned every aspect of mufc... the owners, the players, the fans, have always been lacking in self awareness and humility, morally bankrupt and arrogant, with a win at any cost attitude.

Perhaps the ladies team will prove to be refreshingly different and take a firm and unequivocal stance on this... but somehow I doubt they will.

Well we don't know all of that but the facts certainly point towards that for me. And if true its all so perverse - and being played out in front of a media unprepared to call that out. It's like no one actually cares about the victim, least of all the victim.

It's still mostly conjecture though.

That is a very bizarre decision to make.

Effectively the club has slopey shouldered such a big and important decision.
placing it on the women’s team.

If you need to ask the women’s team. Then he needs to leave the club.
And I’m sure the women’s team will be pressured into giving the ‘right’ answer, the club is morally bankrupt.

Oh, good point. It appears that it's ok to hit women, but if fans abuse someone on social media the club and the FA will be right behind them (Maupay). Nice stance by the professional game. However, no surprise when you see how Giggs is still treated.
