Premier League Games 11/12/13/14 August 2023

United bench was signed for €300m. Another €112m of signings out injured. (Figures in Euro from transfermkt). I assume there was a Sky Sports graphic in the first half highlighting their spending?

Have to laugh, casemiro with a studs up challenge on someone's shin, no foul.

Wolves player takes 13 seconds to take a throw in, in a period when they're actually on top and not really looking to waste time, yellow card.

Same old rags. Poor performances will be propped up by some rather convenient penalties, offsides and loopholes.
JUst surprised Casemiro didn't get the free kick.

As an aside, I’m going to watch that documentary that was advertised about Kompany’s Burnley promotion. Good to see.

Not for me. Still wide open at the back and no synergy going fwd

In a way, as a fan of magic, I admire Mason Mounts ability to be completely invisible in Stadium after Stadium with 40 cameras pointing at the pitch

“United have had all summer to work on patterns of play, but watching them, I am not sure you can discern what they’ve decided on.”

That’s why Rebecca Lowe is the best host in football.
I was looking forward to seeing them getting pressed as they try to play out from the back, but they quickly reverted to their long ball shite.
