Yes please. Would pay more than Barca and weaken them at the same time
Nah, the PL is sometimes about the number of bodies in a title run in, and the drop off from one player (if out) to his replacement, far better player than Zinny IMHO, so that strengthens them not weakens. He’s the kind of player that turns 1pt into 3 (remember their late season draws) they are now in a position of spending £200M, with a loan GK, an injured defender, very average player in Havertz and Rice who’s nowhere near world class but decent. Their investment & apparent leap to title contenders based on this is fading badly, no need for us to give it a shot in the arm

I've always liked the look of him and thought he should be playing in better teams but his decision to leave Spain was strange. He seems to have been around ages but is only 25. His goals and assists aren't anything to write home about.

McAtee to Ajax would be wonderful. Can’t think of a better move. CL football, very competitive level in a the league which is fairly technical, and Ajax is a great development ground, quite obvious from this window and recent years.

what sort of fee would we expect? £30-40m?

We shouldn't be completely cutting loose the likes of McAtee or Palmer just yet. Especially with Kev's injury. Olmo would be good but it is going to be expensive.

If we’re going to sign likes of Doku and Paqueta for big money there’s no point in hindering minutes/ potential development of Palmer and McAtee

With Kev's injury there are going to be plenty of minutes for either of them providing they do impress Pep enough.

They’ve had the pre-season and it’s clear Pep likes them but won’t stop them from moving for more minutes
Cole Palmer after last season should be loaned out but McAtee could afford to stick around for a season. Especially with the cover situation. Buying an extra one is good but again it is bringing in that extra one is the stumbling block. Olmo is a good alternative but again RB Leipzig will probably not want to sell this season (or even negotiate).

Depends on the offer. playing a full season for Ajax over maybe getting 2-3 starts if he's lucky here and 5 subs apps.

He could get more if he does impress Pep. And more than likely we will not see McAtee back at the club if we did move him on to Ajax. Same with Cole Palmer. If McAtee or Palmer doesn't get enough game time up to January then move him on. By then we get a clearer indication on how Kev is progressing with his recovery from surgery.

Agree mate but hard to see where he’d find minutes if Paqueta, Foden, Bernardo, Kovacic are the options for 8. Possibility for cups but when you compare with what he’d be playing at Ajax it’s hard to disagree from a move

When 1st saw him in a City shirt he looked lightweight & didn't think he would make it here, then he went to Sheffield utd, bulked up & adapted to playing in the championship. If we can sign Olmo as well as Doku & Paqueta then he's going to get very few minutes & going back to Sheffield Utd would surely be better for his career.
