Oh I am very excited. I see people are still using the fast dribbler headless chicken stereotype about Doku. You are in for a surprise. His decision making is excellent for someone playing at that speed, and his technique is flawless. He is far from "raw" as he is being described here; sure he's not the finished product but the improvements he can make are few and far between (off ball movement and shot power, technically hes impeccable). If Pep manages to improve these areas in Doku's game, you will have a top 5-10 player in Europe. But even without it hes worldclass. I don't think thats raw.
hope you are right, however with some of the numbskulls who post on bluemoon don't get too wound up if after 20 seconds of his first game some on here are calling him shite and a waste of money :), you will also find there will be 5 or more posters who will not let up ever calling him shite, then go missing when he has a worldie

Anyone think he's competition for Grealish? After those Pep quotes about Jack I wouldn't be surprised to see Doku on the left.

Please don't mention that name it still gives me nightmares. Too small for a keeper. He'd dive for easy shots you thought he'd saved, only to see it nestled in the net as it somehow squirmed through or under his body, it defied logic at times. I still remember him throwing the ball to Sheron for a free kick in that vital game against QPR, who promptly banged it into the net before anybody realised it had happened. A horrible excuse for a keeper.
Hahaha I Remember goin Port Vale away and Sure he made his debut. Made Eike Dibble look like Buffon

Going to great in this set up, a lot of the time we couldn't get up the field and counter attack as we don't have the pace.
We don't counter-attack because that's not the way Pep wants us to play (or he hasn't done). Grealish (for e.g.) was electric in counter-attacking Villa but hasn't been allowed to play that way by Pep. Entirely possible of course that Pep wants to adjust the way we play again and will allow Doku to play that way. It'll certainly make all the pace merchants happy if he does

Any idea if he speaks English out of curiosity?
Only people in the French part of Belgium might have slight problems with English, because they have the same problem the Spanish, Italians en French have, they dub their English movies and programs on tv. But Jay is from Antwerp. Here we get subtitles, and speak English when we are like 10 years old. ;)

Doku is a real exciting signing guys. 1 of the biggest talents ever made in 1 of the best academy's in the world.
Incredible pace, but also great skills. His only weak spot? Injuries. By his style of play, his body gets a hard time. At Rennes he really had too much injuries. But with the City roster, he might me the perfect player to give 45 minutes, or use as the perfect super sub to force a victory.

Also very cool Doku got his professional breakthrough under City legend Vincent Kompany!
