Eberechi Eze

He looks okay, but pure class? Pure class is a long way above a good midtable player.

It’s not like he’s just a young player breaking through either, he’s 25 and I haven’t seen anything from him to say he’s going to be pure class in his six year, 228 game career so far. He’s almost in his prime already.

Michael Olise looks a better prospect already and he’s 4 years younger.
Olise is recovering from an ACL and has no expected return date at this point.

No one that has ever been born is right all the time, and hence why opinions matter.

It's our club, we have all suffered as well as having the wonderful moments, we will be here long after Pep and Co have long gone.

People saying your not entitled to an opinion are a joke, discussion and debate should and are wonderful parts of life.
your opinion doesn't matter 0.0000001% where city's transfer dealings matter, maybe to a few on a city forum, but to the people who actually decide who and how much we buy a player for, the reality is you are not informed enough no matter how much you think you know, same with me and everyone else on here, of course debate is nice on a city forum, but some people actually believe they know more than the management team of probably the best run club in world football.

when we buy a player, we haven't watched him on a youtube clip, or seen him a few times on the telly, we go deep, a team of experts will analyzes everything he does, what he is like personality wise, leave it to the experts, they know what they are doing and how much they are willing to pay, go with the flow, rather than claiming to know more than pep, i dont give a fuck how much we paid for a player,or how much we sell them for, as long as that player improves us,then im happy

Its the market now because of the fees being paid Rice went for 105m if he went for 80m Caicido wouldn't have gone for 115m if you can't see that well...
So tell me straight up, Eze is worth 90 mil?

I think there is a level of bias towards the players from the Premier League, especially if they are English. Imagine we were offering £90m for Jesper Lindstrøm from Frankfurt. People would lose their minds. Most replies would be along the lines of "Who?" At least Jesper plays for Denmark and has CL experience, and I am not saying we should sign him.

Who!?!?!!?!?!

I get that but what happens when KDB is back... He will be behind him and Foden.

I'm not sure he's that experienced anyway, hes only been at Palace a couple of years.
Unfortunately there's no guarantee KDB, once back, will stay fit for the majority of the remaining games. Our squad is paper thin - we need additions quickly if we're going to go deep in 4 competitions.

Carry on with your list, then start the list of ones they got right. Guess which list is far far bigger.
these fucking idiots don't though, someone actually put," imagine signing jack rodwell for 100m and missing out on aguero" ,to prove their point, i mean

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!

I don't see much difference between Eze and Barella. If Barrela is worth 90 million, Eze should be worth at least 85.

That said, I think the ard both 45-55 million players.

But I'm stingy with other people's money :)
You have been slandering Barella too long in hopes we get Wirtz.

I like Wirtz, but Barella is one of the best midfielders in the world, and can basically do everything.

Barella has won a league title with Inter, gotten to a UCL final and won a European title with Italy all while being one of the top 3 players in each of those squads. He is a proven player at the highest levels with the mentality of a winner and a work rate second to none. Eze at this point in his career isn't a pimple on Barella's ass as an overall footballer, c'mon now...

LOL.

If you go back in this thread someone posted his numbers versus Gundogan's last year and they're almost identical. Eze doing it on a far worse side is arguably more impressive.

Shows how misleading stats can be.
If anybody thinks that scoring or assisting at a similar rate is what it takes to be a City CM I don't know what they have been watching for the last 7 years. Yes, palace are worse but Eze also plays higher up the pitch than Gundo and he is probably their main man.
Gundo is much more than someone who pops up with a goal now and then. He dictates the pace of the game, always makes the right decision, has unbelievable close control, always receives the ball in the right way to keep the attack moving, incredibly high football iq, immense calmness in dangerous positions, and so on.
Difficult to capture those sorts of things in stats (tho, a glance at Eze's miscontrols and pass success rates do an ok job)

That I totally disagree with. Barella is amongst the best midfielders in the world. What has Eze done? He is closer to James McAtee than he is to Barella, IMO.

i wonder what you were saying about gundo when all the know fuckalls were saying he was shite, because there were quite a few of them, they thought they knew better than pep and the management team.

That wasn't a pen. What game were you watching? For whatever reason Hodgson moved him out wide on the left as the game wore on. When I say another guy on the pitch it's my way of saying to the previous poster that I'm not buying into any hyperbole in that particular match. Trust me, I'm watching and in this particular game he was nowhere near his best, simple as...
If it was called a penalty on the field, it would have stood. One angle showed he was caught and we've seen then given recently for similar tackles. Mind you, not enough in it to overturn the no penalty decision.

He was likely moved out wider as that's where the space was as Arsenal compressed. Eze is the man they want on the ball making things happen. He still attacked the penalty area when he could. I assume you know that.
