He's lost half a step
Ah, the annual claims of Kyle Walker losing his pace.
Always based on absolutely nothing.
He's lost half a step
If he was to go tomorrow (which is doubtful) then I wonder if Frimpong would be a decent replacement and if so would he be availbale last minute I wonder.
Once again apologies if some of this info is now common knowledge, I’ve not kept up to date with the treads but here’s a few snippets….
Deal all done for Nunes was in for his medical today apparently.
Palmer fee as widely published. Khaldoon does not want to sell him but Ferran is pushing for it so Khaldoon willing to accept but wants terms of payment to be hugely favourable.
Bernardo’s new contract does include a £50m release clause next summer
Walker’s contract not signed yet and not covered himself in glory after coming in to training half cut yesterday!
Finally, rumblings of potentially another last minute signing brewing that may happen but no details of who/position etc
Hardly groundbreaking, I know!
Kyle Walker, Man City captain.
Sorry that doesn't fit your man crush on Palmer. He's good at his job tbf
Que?Thank f*ck today has finally arrived and I stop lurking in the shadows on here!
"It's not personal; It's just business!"Ferran Soriano, the money before anything else man as always ffs. He squeezes every department. It's money, money, money. He's good at his job tbf, but that man is pure business and nowt else. Khaldoon right on this!
Group of DEATH for NEWCASTLE.
Arsenal and all other club fans are claiming we "rigged" the draw as always, they are claiming we got the easiest draw.
Barcelona's group is easy and Arsenal's group looks like a EUROPA group, ofcourse they would think that far, that they would win the UEFA. They haven't played UEFA in such a long time, perhaps they are thinking winning their GROUP STAGE is winning the UEFA, someone needs to remind them that is not the case!
Sorry that doesn't fit your man crush on Palmer.
Glad we've got a CEO who put business before emotions.
Don't build a winning team and a global brand on sentiment.
And they should be thanking us for raising the coefficient rating of the PL by winning it, without us & the dips there wouldn’t be a potential 5 places given in the new formatI‘d be interested to know how Arsenal got into pot 2 given their long absence from the CL.
Did I read players vote on captains once window shuts. The players you mention will know what's right and who to choose. He has no business being our captain. Imagine Ruben, Rodri or KDB acting like that. It would never happen. Great player, though.

Things to get completed today?
- Nunes to sign
- Cole Palmer to seal his move
- Cancelo likely to get his move to Barcelona, probably for fuck all.
- Barco? or can that happen any time if he's staying there
- McAtee's loan
- Find a move for Zack Steffen (might be complicated with his injury)
- Doyle's exit to finalise.
no mention of any names for a supposed surprise last minute arrival, imo seems highly unlikely.
If most of the above happens, we go into the season with 20 out of the 21 players, same as last year. Only Foden as CT, and only Rico as a 'seen with the team' academy player. Albeit others that haven't had the chance yet may get a go here and there.
I also think Harwood-Bellis is rumored to join Southampton on loan.Things to get completed today?

I wouldn’t include Lewis in the main list, not just yet, so that leaves 18 players, two of whom are injured, and a goalkeeper. For me, over the course of the season, that means that, if he even uses the bench, Guardiola will predominantly call upon those main players.Ederson
Ortega
Walker
Lewis
Dias
Akanji
Stones
Ake
Gvardiol
Rodri
Nunes
Kovacic
Bernardo
De Bruyne
Foden
Grealish
Doku
Alvarez
Haaland
Hell of a list of main top players there! Supplemented by the likes of Phillips, Bobb, Mcatee (hopefully!) and Gomez?

I thought last year that in any one game, the experienced players could ‘carry’ one youngster, for example Lewis, but that things became harder when we fielded two from the supplementary list and downright difficult with three. With the loss of experience and four new players added to the main list, and the time that will take for them all to gel, we might not have the stability to field even one. For that reason, I reckon McAtee will leave today and that Lewis and Bobb will be the ‘fifth men’ in won games. Just my musings.
