It’s for PL experience I’d imagine.
Oh get that but coming of the pitch being beat and sometimes spanked is not good for his development!
It’s for PL experience I’d imagine.
But seen from his perspective, he might see that as treading water and consigning himself to be seen as a Championship player. At least at Sheffield United he is in the top flight, more in the spotlight, and likely to attract suitors.
Playing regular premier league football will certainly help his development.I hope that's city's choice and not just the player pushing for it. Struggle to see how playing in that side will be good for his development this year as theyl be fighting for their lives
City only saying loan nothing about obligation to buy or extensionHe’s signed for an extra year
I hope you are right. But every year he gets older and more likely to recover slower. I'd like if we planned for the worst - just in case. What nonsense. Kev always returns quicker than expected. He’ll be at the club world cup, easily.
That leaves the important half of the season for him to dominate and dictate.
Nope, nothing official as of yet palBeen out of touch the last 24 hours, have any of Nunes, Palmer, and Cancelo gone through yet?
Hope so too but I'd still love to have a fall back plan just in case.I think that him having the 4 months out (plus his normal 1.5-2 months to get back to being himself) makes us a real threat for the CL again this year.
Hopefully we can still be in the PL mix (with a deeper level of competition & having to bed Nunes & Doku in).
One of the formations we can play is 4 2 1 3
Ederson
Walker Stones Dias Gvardiol
Rodri Kovacic
Foden
Bernardo Haaland Grealish
Cover defence
Akanji, Ake, Lewis
Midfield
Phillips, Nunes
Attack
Alvarez, Doku, De Bruyne, Bobb
Plenty of game time for everyone. Lots of flexibility.
City only saying loan nothing about obligation to buy or extension
Not sure why he would agree to an extension
Bobb is not a "non entity" just because you arbitrarily decided he doesn't exist.Phillips, Bobb and De Bruyne are non entities currently so that leaves us with 3 players for the front 6 positions.
If Foden's illness was more severe and he was out for 2/3 weeks we would already be in a bad position and that's without 3 games per week starting soon.
The Mcatee decision hasn’t just been made, the club are in full control and know what they are doing. So theres a chance we’re bringing one major signing and not barco?
Hope so too but I'd still love to have a fall back plan just in case.
(I'm the guy that brings a spare pair of socks every time I go to an underage match in case the grass is wet and ends up with a boot full of socks like a crazy person)

Idk, 500? That's valuable playing time you are choosing to ignore. How many minutes do you expect him to get? I would be surprised if he even got the token 5 minute sub 10 times this season.

And people like him are why we win trebles, and are the envy of the world. The term "we can't compete with City".Ferran Soriano, the money before anything else man as always ffs. He squeezes every department. It's money, money, money. He's good at his job tbf, but that man is pure business and nowt else. Khaldoon right on this!
Any player we buy to replace KDB makes Foden less likely to be his long term heir.I hope you are right. But every year he gets older and more likely to recover slower. I'd like if we planned for the worst - just in case.
We can sign players whenever we want. The "transfer windows" are just windows when we can register players to our upcoming competitions.@Damien10 - have you heard of any last day incomings?
Also does anyone know if a signing from South America (but staying there) is ok outside of the window? I think it is because the window is just a deadline to register a player to play for the club until the next window.
