IMO people still have no idea how good Haaland is.

We are talking about the best goalscorer since Ronaldo Nazario, he isn’t going to be competing to be the best in the world, he’s going to be competing to outdo history’s greatest strikers.

What’s the source for this? Have they got footage of 1950’s Brazilian football for the assists contribution or they going off what Pele told us?

BBC Gossip saying we are going to offer him a new contract worth 600k a week:
basic salary of £600,000-a-week if he extends his deal beyond 2027 as they look to stop him moving to Real Madrid or the Saudi Pro League

Why would he take a pay cut as when we signed him, according to the media experts and other fans, we invented paying agent fees and we were paying him 900k a week:)-

He's a monster and him Alvarez are only just starting to click. Could score a similar amount of goals from last year and add a dozen assists to his game. Still playing in himself this season. Scary, scary, scary.

Seen tolmie post something hinting at a new contract so looks good coming out of BBC gossip as well!

No way would we have scored five yesterday if we did not have Erling.

I'll reiterate what I said in the MotM thread, Phil provided the entertainment yesterday but Erling put the scores on the doors.

Why would Haaland go to Saudi league? Money yea he would be a very very rich young man with no career advancement at all . He knows where he is best at for money and career.

"HAAL OF A DEAL

Man City to make Erling Haaland best paid player in Premier League to ward off potential Saudi interest

MANCHESTER CITY are ready to make Erling Haaland the country’s best-paid star with talks over a new deal worth £28.6million a year.

Haaland’s contract runs until 2027 and Etihad bosses had already sounded out his agent Rafaela Pimenta about adding another 12 months.

But this summer’s Saudi Arabian raids on the Premier League have further focused Man City.

And while even they cannot compete with the Middle East billions, they are prepared to up his weekly basic to £550,000 for the next five years.

Haaland — top earner at the Etihad with Kevin De Bruyne on £375,000 — could boost that even more with personal and team-related bonuses.

The Norwegian, who won both the PFA Player of the Year and Uefa’s version in midweek, hit his seventh City hat-trick on Saturday.

Haaland, 23, has no release clause but remains on Real Madrid’s wish-list.

Al-Ittihad’s £170m bid for Liverpool’s Mo Salah nudged City into trying to nail down Haaland, who they rate close to £300m.

Talks for an extension to 2028 are set to start within weeks but sources close to the player insist there is no hint of him being tempted by Saudi or the Bernabeu.

Earlier this week, Haaland was asked about potentially breaking Alan Shearer's Premier League record of 260 goals.

To which he responded: "He scored a lot of goals and I don't want to look too far ahead but I want to be right here, right now. I try to enjoy every single moment in my life.

"I have been playing in a really good team and they help me a lot.

"Individually I have to keep improving."

Is that all cheap as chips that

Thing is, it’s all relative.

He’s a superstar and will be pulling in new fans - and more income - just by being here. Add to that he’s winning awards and breaking records all over the gaff plus he is one of our own.

Pay him whatever the fuck it takes to keep him here for the foreseeable!
