He has good technical ability, he was understandably nervous. Doku was chosen to start ahead of Bernardo meaning he has shown a good level in training. Alvarez is not great technically but performs well and is improving why? Because of elite coaching.

You 'expect he'll make a terrific full back once we see he isn't quite there in the final 3rd. Good luck to the kid though.'

What a patronising and idiotic comment.
Just a bit fun that last bit. ✌️

Calling me a fan from another team just because I said your super hero’s debut was poor? Can you please stop this fan boy behavior and grow up?
Mate, since Pep rightfully got rid of Mahrez you seem to have held some grievance towards any player we've been linked with or signed. The team isn't about inclusion just for the sake of it.

I've noticed most Algerian "fans" have been having a go at City transfer business since the Mahrez situation. If you don't like it,simply delete your account and move on with life.

I don't think there's any evidence that Pep got rid of Mahrez. He said he didn't want him to leave, the wages that Mahrez was offered made it a no brainier for him.

Doku is just a kid, a kid in a new country with a bundle of potential but raw, coming into a club where discipline and tactical thinking is a necessity

We won't see his prime for many years, but I'm looking forward to what he can become under Pep

Was encouraged by his appearance, kind of what I expected

He has the raw ability to beat opposition defenders and breeze past them but is a little erratic and a bit wasteful, things he can learn

Exciting times, think he'll get a fair bit of playing time this year

Looks a talent, possibly won't be of much help this season but watch out next season

Did some useful things. I particularly like his willingness to go outside his man. We haven't seen that from a winger since Leroy, really. Jack sometimes does it. I've often wondered whether they're trained by Pep to go inside, since it guarantees possession much more, even if it doesn't lead to spectacular results.

Much too early to tell how good Doku will be. He showed promise in his first game (blistering pace and able to beat defenders one-on-one), but he unnecessarily gave the ball away too often (perhaps first game nervousness).

Oh god this.

It’ll be interesting to see how he and Bobb integrate into the team.

Bobb is younger and less experienced, but knows our system, whereas Doku is more experienced, but doesn’t know our system.

Both starting at the same time in our first team squad.

We could be in for an entertaining season if they both hit the ground running.

Was happy with how he looked first game. Nerves clear at times but he had some really good moments and I liked how frustrated he was at the end of the game because he wants to get assists. I recon we’ll see him quite a lot as the season progresses
