It’s hard to accurately explain, but does anyone else feel a tiny bit sorry for Maguire?
I know he’s a rag bastard, and he’s shit but still, a tiny part of me feels bad for him
I think I get what you are saying, and I applaud you for being a thoroughly decent human being, but I think fuck him the big dirty red bastard.

He signed the contract with the rags so he has to accept what it is.

However, it is clear that they are prepared to let him move on, and without knowing if any promises were made to him regarding " severance top-ups " to compensate for a drop in salary, he could have moved when WH wanted him in the window.

He would no doubt still have been receiving a good salary , so it is clearly up to him, depending whether he wants to sit out his rag contract or whether he would rather be playing regularly.

Of course all this could be academic if a Greek prison sentence awaits him soon .

Yup I do. Its off the scale and tbh everyone who is doing this (The booing the ridicule etc) is contributing to probable psychological problems he could get. He's a strong guy I suppose.

He's a united player so City fans are expected to do it, but the media, pundits etc, its quite caroline flack shit.

There’s a parallel universe where City pay the money for him out there and he’s walking round with a decent haul of medals maybe. Would he have made it at our place? Pep thought he could. Would Pep have improved him? Yes he probably would.

Sadly the braindeads who boo players , twitter shite etc are the ones who are fed by the toxic media tramps who depending upon the club involved will plant the idea in their pathetically small minds.

Oh and apart from being a rag and seemingly behaving like a **** whilst showing off on holiday, possibly soon to be punished for it, I don't think Maguire especially deserves widespread abuse from total imbeciles and gobshites.

This is why Grealish, Sterling et al got/get abuse from " fans " of totally unrelated clubs - absolutely childish and disgraceful , but of course social media is pit of vipers with highly questionable intelligence.

Society values are at a pretty low level and social media is the curse which happily avails of the stupid.

Of course he may also believe that being a part of Manchester United may carry some kudos when he faces his trial.

It’s the juxtaposition of him being a rag Vs the rags destroying his career and trying to force him out.

I think this time that the social media storm has been fuelled by the club themselves to try to force him out. He called their bluff and wants his money, which he’s is entitled to do. He probably should have gone on loan somewhere.

It’s happened a bit with Kalvin Phillips, but he’s not made any glaring mistakes. He just seems to get worse, in some fans’ eyes, every time he doesn’t play.

I take little notice of people I regard as cunts , and the rags management, club, supporters etc are exactly that, so what they think or say is of no interest to me really.

Both players have the right to their respective decisions and forums where many want to make the decisions for them , irrespective of whether they know the individual or the facts of the matter, I try to ignore.

Of course there is usually some dullards who provoke a reaction. They will know who they are.

Sure and I’m sure the players don’t read them all.

When it’s everywhere, it must be hard to ignore completely, whoever you are.

No whatsoever he's more than well compensated and had the opportunity to go to West Ham but decided he was above that (he really isn't) if he wants to carry on being the scapegoat at Old Toilet more fool him.

As a human being it's difficult to load all the criticism onto his shoulders, either for England or those detestable bastards, it can't always be down to him. But having said that, as a professional footballer he is just not very good at it.
I have slated him so often in the past because I want the very best for my country, I want the opposite for his club, but when he pulls on that England shirt I want him to be as near to perfection as possible. I want him to be the one who kicks everybody's arse and says: "Let's fucking 'ave 'em!" and goes out there and plays like a warrior defending his country. No prisoners taken. But he isn't. He's more like a character from a silent movie comedy: falling over, being the hapless jester for everyone's amusement.

He could be going through a crisis of confidence after what has happened in the past couple of years, but if that's the case Waistcoat has no business constantly putting him in his side.
This is International-level football we're talking about here, and Slabhead is simply not up to the task. He is not good enough to represent his country, and Waistcoat -of all people- should know that. Ten bob has finished with him and the rags are absolute excrement, so why the fuck does that gormless lackey on the England touchline continue to fight his corner?

Massively over-hyped after the 2018 World Cup, then the Rag's spunked £80M on him.

So glad we never signed him.
