Am I correct in thinking he was at Southampton when he was very young and then went to Chelsea.
How did they let him slip back to Germany?

He and his family wanted to move back to Germany and live there. Bayern offered them an opportunity and it was perfect for them. Chelsea tried their best to keep him, the club offered him a contract but his family wanted to move plus they probably also saw Bayern as a better development path for him so he was allowed to leave. If he was making this decision 12 months later, he might still be a Chelsea player but it happened to be right before we got our transfer ban, like the same summer, and Lampard brought through like 4-5 academy players at once.

Bayern will go hard for Wirtz especially he also a german player. Very difficult i think for us to sign him.

Musiala is impossible and while Wirtz is not impossible it's still going to be difficult especially like i said before Wirtz is german player and they tend to join Bayern the moment Bayern have interest in them.
