Bit of an edgy call, that one.Call me controversial, but I reckon New Zealand might just win this one.

A drubbing.Hang your heads England, beaten by 9 wickets and 13+ overs.
but was you entertainedHang your heads England, beaten by 9 wickets and 13+ overs.
I’ll bite. Who are you talking about? Buttler, Rashid, Bairstow, Wood, Woakes and Root were in both the 2019 team and played today.England is in free fall and has far too many players in the ODI team living on past glories,

I suggested earlier that picking Woakes was silly in India. The rest would be in most best XIs.
Who are the ones on their laurels?
Livingstone‘s first ODI was in 2021.Livingstone and Moeen Ali as well
I don't understand why Bairstow is being picked, OK he's in for the batting but his fielding is poor and looks overweight, looking at the group it looks like most of the other teams NZ will beat as well, So maybe getting them out of the way first will work in England's favour
I will say one thing ?
all of the above players you and I named will stand down after this world cup
By NZ yes.but was you entertained
New Zealand win, by the barest of margins. By the barest of all margins.
Absolute ecstasy for New Zealand. Agony. Agony for England.

Bairstow is using credit in the bank that Jason Roy has just run out of.
It’s very common for cricketers to retire after a World Cup cycle, so the mid-30s guys may well retire.
Who would you be picking instead?
