Middle East Conflict

100% spot on.

If Israel steam in to Gazza the Middle East will explode and conflict will spread over most of the world.

We have already seen over recent days indiscriminate terrorist attacks all over the world, just when we thought they were becoming a thing of the past.
To be fair such actions by Isreal and Palestinian terorist organisation's have happened many times before and it hasn't ended in WW3. So fingers crossed it doesn't this time. But I agree that islamic terrorist activity across the world is likely to increase.

Does this Twitter is bollocks theory apply to other conflict related threads? Just so we know the rules :)
Always. Whether it’s war, transfers in football, news about Liam+Noel getting back together… over time, you get to know profiles that are reliable, then there are randomers posted out of the blue just because it’s ‘news’ that’s suitable to one’s side of the argument.

Which is absolutely your prerogative, nothing you’ve said there disputes any of the evidence they’ve put themselves though which is them trying to prove rather than believe something.

Not saying I agree with their conclusion by saying that either btw, my argument is more against being able to make a conclusion from it rather than what you’re saying though.
I don’t know why people don’t just wait until it’s been confirmed whose bomb it was before jumping to conclusions. It took about ten days for the one in August 2022 to be confirmed it was Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

This is a similar situation. If it was Israel, it will be proven eventually.

Anyone who thinks this hospital explosion is anything but a Hamas false flag operation needs to open their eyes.

Textbook state terrorism operation straight from the Russian playbook.

This whole thing is heartbreaking. There’s thousands of innocent people dying yet again because of a load of fanatical terrorists.
It was a huge if not macabre propaganda coup for Hamas but that does not mean they did it

Sadly Israel does have form for this type of thing, yesterday they hit a UN school which killed 6 people, and the fact they have been flattening Gaza makes them the obvious guilty party, that’s why nobody believes them

Fair enough, but the videos shared on line show multiple rockets being fired. Are we supposed to believe that they were all Badr-3 ones or just a mix. They all look the same to me.
For all we know, every single bit of information that’s come out so far (apart from the fact the hospital was hit and hundreds of innocent people were killed) could be false. All the videos, all the Tweets, all the rumours… from both sides could just be cobbled together bollocks to make the pointed finger bigger and stronger.

There will be radar footage that will show the truth.

You don't believe them but to say nobody believes them isn't really true is it. Quite a few do.

Something similar happened during the Algerian Civil War (in some ways a microcosm of this present horrendous macrocosm).

There was an explosion in the Casbah that killed many civilians living there. The French claimed an FLN ammunition dump had inadvertently exploded. Later it emerged that the pied noirs had planted a bomb.

Robert Fisk, who was present at the aftermath of the Sabra and Chatila massacre, and whose journalism, though it faltered towards the end, was very good at highlighting the utter hypocrisy on all sides in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, rated Alistair Horne’s A Savage War of Peace (about the Algerian war of independence) as an extraordinary feat of historical writing.

Just thought the book was worth a mention for those who might not have heard of it. Gillo Pontecorvo’s movie is also outstanding*. I used to use scenes from it when teaching the concept of jihad to GCSE students of Islam.

*It’s the only one I know of that was produced by an unrepentant terrorist (Saadi Yacef) and in which he reprises his role as a bomb maker.
It was confined that Joe Strummer did that one.

This is Bassem Yousseff and this man is a fucking genius. Dismantles Piers Morgan with dark humour. Never seen anything like it. A must watch if ever there was on this.

That was a tragically funny interview. I think you do it a disservice by labelling it as a dismantling of Piers Morgan. Its more than that.

Unfortunately though, my takeaway is it just further highlights the current level of irreconcilable difference that exists. Resolution of this conflict will require a paradigm shift from both sides, or significant neutral intervention (such neutrality doesn’t exist as I’m aware). I think we’re probably further from this than at any point in the history of the conflict.

The thing is, those that matter to this conflict don’t, and that’s the Arab world and much of the so called third world, and it’s precisely because they have form for this
That's a bit more accurate than saying nobody believes them. Quite a few posters will do well to keep a bit more of an open mind ,rather than knee jerk posting of information depending on whether they're pro "this" or "anti" that.

This thread is basically 400+ pages of posters telling us that ‘they started it’ Round and round you go with no end game in sight. @gordondaviesmoustache is right. The human race has had its chance and fucked it. We are just on a long drawn out process now of different cunts in different parts of the world causing different wars over different excuses until there’s nothing left.
My heart goes out to every single person who just wants to live their lives who have been caught up in the chaos that has surrounded them. I hope whatever life grows from the ashes improves on the utter shitcunts that set the world on fire.
Human history has always been a long drawn out process of different cunts causing different wars. It’s human nature. “Funny” when you think people of all the people pleading for a sense of “humanity”. Humanity is the problem

We need to evolve beyond our ape like/fear based tendencies. We’re probably a good few hundred thousand years from that and it would still require equality and removal of perceived differences such that no one feels the need to get what someone else has. We’ll have eradicated ourselves long before that happens (either by weapons of mass destruction, or equally as likely by machine/AI).

To be fair, people close to the Israeli government were claiming responsibility at first

Like who? ‘People close to the Israeli government’ doesn’t really mean anything - if they aren’t in the government and don’t actually know what happened either way

So now the poor Palestinians are being bombed by Palestinians..what a fucking mess..Big Joe will sort it out. Fucking clown planet

The US could come out and confirm that, through their investigation, that Israel was not responsible for the hospital attack and people will begin to call them liars as well.

Some people seem to want it to have been an Israeli attack rather than a tragic unintentional incident by another party. At the moment we have video footage that shows the warhead landing on the area where the hospital is, having being fired locally from the area. On the opposite side we have a tweet that blames Israel, and that's enough.

People don't want to find out the truth, they just want to fan the flames further.
