PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It's like comparing the fucking length of time for a complex mortgage fraud case to someone who's nicked a bottle of 7up from the local key store. There's a reason why more complex cases can take a much longer time to deal with. Carragher and his ilk are part of the problem in this country, absolute cretin who shouldn't be paid a wage by our national sports TV company.

Any rules to Punish a club for over spending when that club can take the over spending is so ridiculous! Clubs down the leagues are getting point deductions for breaking ffp that then in turn makes it worse for those clubs! It's a disgrace this ffp! We had over 100 years of no ffp rules and now with it you hear more of clubs being punished and in trouble or going into administration!!

I cant help feeling that if we do get punished then we will take a nuclear stand against the establishment, remember Kaldoon and his comments about knowing what goes on at other clubs. Dont forget we are not being accused of breaking FFP we are basicly being accused of fraudulent accounting and criminal activity.
I believe we will be found guilty of non co-operation and maybe the odd minor charge, but it will be spun in the media that we "got off" on a technicality.

no doubt it will be the time barred narrative.

FFP is wrong in principle in so many ways , Moshuri has invested heavily in a company he owns , the losses are down to him and he has'nt walked away and left Everton in the shit , its obvious why FFP was introduced to protect the current elite clubs and prevent any new blood upsetting the status quo.
How does a 12 point deduction and certain relegation for Everton help their financial situation ? , it will only push them further to the brink , but the Eveton figures are mind blowing , it is a potentlal over spend of around £200m in the last three seasons , our 114 charges are about £30m over six seasons ago and a few quid paid to Mancini.
Whatever punishment Everton recieve it should not reflect the charges we will be given , the result will be very interesting and will prove if the Premier league do have teeth.

can someone remind me is one of the charges against us relate to complying with uefa ffp.

I don’t mind the stuff they do. It comes with the territory of being the best club in world football. Spitty must have got a heads up as it’s quite the coincidence. I will say it until I am blue in the face. City have done nothing wrong.

We also won a treble…

Where is that video paddy?

"Man City? Yeah, it rings a bell"

Nowt to do with ffp the 115 charges it's about inflated sponsors and Mancini payments!

The issues seem largely to be filing accounts that don't give a true and fair view. I really don't see where the PL is trying to go with this. They either find the club guilty of filing deliberately false accounts and this goes nuclear, or they don't and they get crucified for the way they gave handled it. There is no good solution for them in this, imo.

The rest of the charges are minor, imo, and are fine territory, even if they can prove them. Which I doubt.

The original idea of ffp as planned by Platini was to deal with debt, which he thought was damaging and corrosive to clubs. He considered it grossly unfair that certain clubs could play in and win uefa tournaments while carrying huge debts. He mentioned the rags and Chelsea.
The ffp we have obviously bears no relation to that ideal, and concentrates on revenue streams, of which the elite clubs have many more than some others, and spending related to those streams which the elite clubs do plenty of.
What changed their minds?
I can’t think.

I understood there's is an appeals process so possibly the 12point sanction if true, (like the press got the Uefa ones completely wrong)then Everton possibly get it reduced. God knows where ours will end up, possibly only Khaldoon knows the answer, and I'd back him against the PL and Spitty any day of the Century !

Why are Everton up for punishment for failing FFP but not united?
They exceeded the allowed loss of the three year accconting period by some margin they offer Covid as a reason unfortunately the amount claimed was far in excess of the next highest claimed amount

Carragher: Everton's points deduction threat is bad news for Man City

apologies if this has already been mentioned, but Carragher is a complete toss pot
This ony confirms how f*cking stupid the spit volleyer is he hasnt a clue about the charges or the procedures of the hearings , if only one charge is nailed on then Everon face the consequences they have no defence , if 114 charges are all unproven and scurrilous then we have every right to defend every charge.
The Bootle idiot had better stick to waffling about football alongside the failed football manager chuckle brother , he hasnt got the intelligence to construct an argument about FFP , thick scouse tw*t.

It was only a matter of time really.....

It's not clear to me if they are taking the piss out of the over the top, bought and paid for propaganda documentary that Piers Morgan got ahead of himself with(but how many people actually watched that in the end?) or that they've unwittingly parodied it. Perhaps because that was bought and paid for too? The first half in particular, is not designed to make anyone laugh, it's to confirm their biases and make them nod their heads IMO. As is the second half, focused on the PL being useless and doing nothing but at least they attempted some humour there. You could argue the first half(which is quite long) is a setup for the pay off in the second half but it's not much of a pay off(mildly amusing at best, but maybe I'm biased) and it would have still worked without the first half of the video(somebody really wanted to get all of that in there).

It does suspiciously look like Carragher somehow got an advanced screening of this, maybe all of the people at sky did... and the reaction he had is what they want: "Come on PL! We know they're guilty, you don't have to waste time proving anything, just punish them already".

We already know where Sky's allegiances lie as an organisation. It's not beyond the realms of possibility but it could all be coincidence and something that a Liverpool fan in the Paddy Power offices has been pitching since last year(and forwarded to his mate Carra) I suppose. I still think the overall tone of the video is a little different than their usual content personally.
