PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Just sayin’:

Well said simonD.

It's not clear to me if they are taking the piss out of the over the top, bought and paid for propaganda documentary that Piers Morgan got ahead of himself with(but how many people actually watched that in the end?) or that they've unwittingly parodied it. Perhaps because that was bought and paid for too? The first half in particular, is not designed to make anyone laugh, it's to confirm their biases and make them nod their heads IMO. As is the second half, focused on the PL being useless and doing nothing but at least they attempted some humour there. You could argue the first half(which is quite long) is a setup for the pay off in the second half but it's not much of a pay off(mildly amusing at best, but maybe I'm biased) and it would have still worked without the first half of the video(somebody really wanted to get all of that in there).

It does suspiciously look like Carragher somehow got an advanced screening of this, maybe all of the people at sky did... and the reaction he had is what they want: "Come on PL! We know they're guilty, you don't have to waste time proving anything, just punish them already".

We already know where Sky's allegiances lie as an organisation. It's not beyond the realms of possibility but it could all be coincidence and something that a Liverpool fan in the Paddy Power offices has been pitching since last year(and forwarded to his mate Carra) I suppose. I still think the overall tone of the video is a little different than their usual content personally.
I saw a few people on this site saying don't take pp seriously, because they are just banter.

They are Liverpool fans and while can make the odd joke about them. It's quite clear they mean there stuff about City, and are desperate for us to fail like the rest of them.

I have been banned from there pages on all platforms for calling them out. They seem happy to give it out but can't take any back.

The last video they did on City was just ribbing us because we lost, so I wouldn't include that(even though some of the funny 'factual quips/putdowns' were false/bs pulled from RAWK). This feels a bit different, with a tinge of seriousness to it. I suppose it is more likely that they are football fans(of a red shirted persuasion) who are showing a bit more of their true colours(bitter) recently, rather than our friends in the media offering them work on the sly.

‘If’ we were found guilty I wanna be in the room when the uk government find out their billions of pounds investments have just disappeared : )
From everything I’ve read with regards our confidence in this matter I’m still slightly worried.
I have no confidence in us receiving a fair hearing.
We already have trial by media on a weekly basis and there’s also the fact that all clubs are not treated equally.
United and Everton being the prime example.
I ain’t stressing about it cos what will be will be.
I just hope we go nuclear if we are fucked over, including getting governments involved and destroying the establishment.
To quote the great Delboy Trotter
“He who sticks his nose in a beehive gets more than a nostril full of honey” : )

Why has this thread suddenly gone from "pfft, clueless fucks. Our lawyers have swiss cheesed these charges. Nothing to worry about, the silence is deafening"

to

"wur doomed! Titles stripped, no CL for 50 years, back to the doldrums, Sheikh Mansour will leave us, our success is tainted!!"

What, because Spitty tweeted shit about Everton!? If Everton are guilty it doesn't mean we are!

Our case and the fallout is going to be absolute carnage.
Obviously we all hope we get cleared. If we do then it will be interesting to see what happens next. Khaldoon said in his end of season interview several months ago that he can’t say anything at the moment but he will when the time is right, and that he is angry about it. Of course, that could be bravado on his part but I don’t think he plays stupid games like that. What he said indicated a couple of things to me:

1) That we are innocent and we will prevail
2) That there indeed has been collusion from certain other clubs in pressurising the PL to do something regardless of whether there’s any meaningful evidence or not, and those clubs should be worried going forwards. He’s said in the past that people talk and to that end it’s quite possible that we have evidence against certain other clubs. Pep name-checking Levy alludes to this.

We got shafted over a century ago, what's changed?
