It’s a sad indictment of the state of the Conservative Party that the Prime Minister can’t think of someone who shares his world view that has the competence to be appointed to one of the great offices of state, and has to go back to someone who has a totally different outlook with a record of foreign policy failure.
You are confusing voting for (and most racists did vote for Brexit) and argued for,by. This government argued for Brexit and argued the EU was unelected and unnaccountable. That was a lie but doesn't mean this appointment doesn't show up the hypocrisy in this government and prime minister, tha argued that case.
Foreign policy failure? Go on….
Add Lord Douglas Home then in Heath’s cabinet in 1970. Foreign Secretary for 4 years.Mandelson was never a senior minister though, so that’s a bit misleading.
Though just like Sunak and the rest a solid track record of leveraging his position for personal gain.
which bit was 'truthful'?Sacked for publishing a truthful statement.
It can only happen in the UK.
Foreign policy failure? Go on….
6 letters. Begins with B.Foreign policy failure? Go on….
TBF Sunak is the only one who doesn’t need to do it for personal gain but your general point stands
The all you can eat breakfast buffet? What is Terese Coffey doing going into Number ten?
Saddens me to say it, but I think, for once, Sunak has made a smart call.Talk on the BBC, not yet confirmed though.....cruella sacked, then Cleverly went into Number ten shortly followed by Cameron.
Starmer must be licking his lips....."the party opposite are that bereft of talent that they have to bring someone out of retirement for one of the most important positions in government" or that would be my line of attack
Ok, thanks Denis for again not answering the question I asked.Add Lord Douglas Home then in Heath’s cabinet in 1970. Foreign Secretary for 4 years.
I'm talking about this government ,not the 2016 one. The one that supported and gave us the brexit we have been landed with. The government didn’t argue for Brexit….. unless you are referring to individuals in the leave campaign who now occupy positions in government?
Cameron was a remainer for sure.
Slight edit for accuracy and grammar. So when a populist quasi-fascist, does a populist quasi-fascist thing, they get flung out. Makes me laugh when people opine how right wing of a government they are.
“We’re gonna need a bigger door.”What is Terese Coffey doing going into Number ten?
