Some of the Palmer hyperbole bollocks got on my tits but it's clearly the media pile on City narrative. Some fucking no mark ex Chav on CNN saying he was the best player on the pitch ..now an £80m player ..yawn fucking yawn....
God help him when the inevitable fall comes ..mind he doesn't play for us anymore so he'll get a free pass from the press shills now

A bit harsh I though he done well and has certainly grasped his opportunity. Can he continue to develop onto a top class player who knows but he's given himself a chance.

Seeing them against us, I'm amazed how they're so far down the league, and I expect them to improve throughout the season. They genuinely have looked good in the games I've seen.

But I was watching a Youtube video where they said that they've basically shone against the top teams but really struggle against teams that they have to break down. And this is where you wonder if the likes of Palmer, Gallagher, Mudryk and Jackson are going to do it. Do they have the creative nous to unlock tight defences regularly? Even Sterling shines more when he's got space to run into.

He's done well, but let's be honest, if he hadn't scored four penalties, he wouldn't be getting half the hype he is.
Rubbish.
Palmer is a top class footballer with skills from another planet
Fair play to the lad for having the confidence to leave Manchester for West London...imo Palmer is a naturally gifted player, who, with the right attitude, coach and luck...will become one of the best players on the planet.

I don't think folk understood Cole with his " prem soon come" remark
Bold confident talk..A Man who knows his own mind and abilities.

Great young Football player.

Arsenal fan here. I can tell you that having your balls shaved with a rusty spoon is an upgrade on Havertz.
Ha :)

Arteta would do well to ditch this midfield experiment and just throw him up front like we did. He's at least somewhat serviceable there. He looks completely lost in midfield and the pressure on Rice and Martinelli to hold his hand defensively and offensively respectively is a lot.

Haaland has done well but let's be honest, if he hadn't scored 51 goals last season, he wouldn't be getting half the hype he is.

Hello chaps. I had to self-impose a 'no football talk' period upon myself for a while due to work suddenly becoming very intense, which thankfully it still is. But seeing as we just played out what many are saying will be looked back on as a bit of a classic, I thought I'd drop by :)

Wow, what an entertaining game. It had a bit of everything. Your mate Anthony Taylor(!) certainly did you a bit of a favour on the first pen imho. Apparently if he doesn't give it on field it was unlikely to have been changed by VAR. But then again, who knows WTF is going to happen with VAR these days?! Anyway, overall I thought it was a fair result.

As has been eluded to here, we do play better against teams who attack, and apparently haven't yet figured out how to beat the low block. And until we do, we'll struggle to climb the table very far.

And Cole Palmer. In my opinion our best bit of business of the summer. What a super talented lad. I loved him when he was slowly breaking through at City, and couldn't believe our luck when he came to us tbh.

I hope all the regulars here are good. Another great season for you lot seems inevitable. No one else in the Prem is on the same level. Cheers.

Oh they are in deep shit!

I think they'll admit it and wait for the punishment?! Get all the shit done this season, then start a fresh next season with plans going forward with a new stadium in the pipeline!!

Chelsea FC face fresh questions over how its former owner Roman Abramovich funded the club’s success, after leaked files revealed a string of secret payments that may have breached strict football rules, including those on “financial fair play”.

Experts said the transactions, uncovered through a joint investigation by the Guardian and international partners, could lead to the Premier League imposing punishments on Chelsea, such as a deduction of points.

Journalist (Rob Davies) covering the story says there are so many payments they couldn’t cover them all in one story. And we think we’re in bother! There’s a whole pile of shit coming Chelsea’s way.

This is exactly why other clubs have got to be careful with how hard they push the Premier League on the "115 charges" stuff with City. Chelsea and Everton facing points deductions for dodgy deals, Liverpool hacked into City's scouting network, United were done for FFP breaches recently, as were Leicester a few years ago. They don't want the rug pulled up too far.
