PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Why are you more hopeful? I’m more worried that this was done to give the PL the ability to hit us really hard - even if we are found guilty of a minor issue.
It’s very strange that these incidents have arisen after we were charged. My trust in fairness has gone & I fear this is the PL’s (ie rags & other red tops) last gasp chance to get rid of us.
Don’t fret as THD says the cases are entirely different and, we have strenuously denied

JULES is a city fan no?

Think he/she is quoting a rivals post from another forum.
Yes, they are.

But, they’ve done it a few times - not indicating it’s a quote, or putting quotation marks around it…. Poor @JULES getting it accidentally in the neck for missing a bit of punctuation:-)

I think @jrb has previous in the neck accidently as well iirc

@JULES I think it might help if you explain that this is a copy and paste, and not your own quote. If I'm incorrect, and it is your POV, I agree with all the others who have jumped on you :)

Any Man City fan reading this.......worried ? You fucking well should be.

Kitchen sink about to be launched in your direction, and unlike Everton where we all feel a little bit sorry for them, the whole league will piss themselves laughing when you are chucked out of the league. Wonder if you're delightful owners and executives will pop the champagne corks after that hearing you classless pricks.

Given that he is from Ecuador I’m kind of guessing that English is not his first language.

Don’t think Khaldoon will go down that route, doesn’t appear to operate in that manner…..
Why would he want to change things?
The business model is working well. The 115 charges simply galvanized City and he's just announced there is more investment to come.
Sheikh M knew he was not wanted and as far as I know he has ignored most media and UEFA / PL attacks.
Our owners prefer to stick to a business plan to make more and more money and are stealthily overtaking those who fear his business acumen.

Why air dirty washing in court unless it affects him financially?

With all respect to TH, you need to have a serious sense check on what he is claiming.

The people within City who are clued up enough on the inner workings of the process can be counted on one hand and will include Berrada, Cliff, Carter and Soriano. Even Khaldoon is unlikely to be 100% up to speed as his role doesn’t need it.

If you think any of those people, all under ironclad NDA’s are giving TH a cheeky nudge and ‘alright geezer, tribunal? All Cushty bruv, get it out there would ya?…..’ then you likely need to reset your expectations.

I asked the question as to what team they supported who’d put that quote, not insinuating that he wasn’t, but I’ve still not had an answer, but I knew it was a quote he’d read……I hope

Funny how all the Everton stories are full of comments about us.
Not much about how Chelsea got off with a token fine for fiddling the books for ages and the new investigation, absolutely nothing by the Premier League of the Rags failing UEFA FFP (Have they even investigated the Rags), nothing about the Dippers failing FFP previously (no action by the PL)and nothing on how Leicester boke the EFL PG ffp by a huge margin and got away scot free for years before setting on a token fine

So what’s happening? Are we going to be okay?
I'd like to think so.

Twice the government has made announcements on an independent football regulator, & twice the PL have swung a couple of hail Mary haymakers in response.

City ducked ours. Everton were clocked in the jaw & floored.

The cases are different. City are denying any wrongdoing. Everton have admitted wrongdoing, but cited extenuating circumstances.

The PL are trying in vain to prove to the government that an independent football regulator isn't needed. City are in favour of one.

Didn't Leicester break ffp rules by a large margin to win promotion, yet apparently they are threatening to sue Everton. How do they square that one?

In light of today's hand-wringing and bed-wetting, I thought it might be worth posting Kieran Maguire's comments on our case from last month.

Maguire is a chartered accountant and pre-eminent football finance expert.

"Senior sources tell me City are very, very relaxed about the charges. They feel they have not done anything wrong, that many of the charges are quite trivial and the numbers involved are actually quite low"

To be frank, I consider his view somewhat more valuable than that of Stan Collymore, Simon Jordan, and the lobotomised posters of RAWK.

The difference is of course we are the 800 pound gorilla that other fanbases are jealous off.

I have red mates , in good jobs, seemingly intelligent people, who truly believe that we paid CAS off to find us innocent. They wont have it any other way
I overheard two consultant surgeons at a private hospital discussing which trophies their teams would be awarded the day after the charges were announced earlier this year.Needless to say one was a rag and the other a dipper
