The fucking pundits who gave alexander arnold the Motm should be embarrassed. They won’t be of course because they have zero integrity.
Doku absolutely annihilated him.

That was fucking mental from Chuckle

Felt like he had a really weird performance yesterday. Had Arnold on toast but his final pass/action was very inconsistent.

The one thing I would like to see more of are runs off the ball. I feel like he needs to make more runs inside the fullback to create more space/get in behind. It feels to me he's quite static and is waiting for everything to feet.

He's an incredible talent though, and it's a great option for us to have.

Good post. It is his work off the ball that will turn him from an exceptional talent to a world-class operator.

If anyone having TAA on toast will beat Liverpool, they would have already been relageted... They have a good protection plan and beating TAA or not simply does not matter that much to them because Matip and Co have already blocked the lines or mark Halaand most of the times.

The space in their system is in the middle. Halaand tried to make a run behind but too many times the wingers and midfielders ignored him. When they finally made the pass VVD and Alison had already been there.

Umm really? I think he was pretty fast on one counter attack getting a ball from Halaand. Definitely much faster than Matip carrying the ball.

No the guys has a point, whether it was pace or willingness, determination etc.

But it happened and it frustrated me as I don’t think you can be that quick over 3 yards without being very quick anyway (certainly enough to catch Matip up).

Also I felt it went inside too much where Liverpool had more cover, the time he went on the outside we caused a lot more problems.

Overall, I thought he was fantastic and a joy to watch.

Seeing a player who you know will beat the full back as opposed to could is fantastic!!

There was also a moment in the first half when he was carrying the ball in the middle on the counterattack and TAA couldn't catch him. Some players are faster with the ball then they are without it, it happened before.

I didn’t see it mentioned on here, but the in depth article on him in The Athletic was excellent. Got such a sense of his personality.

I know people don’t like Sam Lee, but yesterday on his podcast he mentioned how refreshing it was to talk to his youth coaches. How in England everyone just says the player was great, a good student, etc, even if you know they weren’t. Whereas Jeremy’s coaches were so honest, like “yeah, sometimes he didn’t like to run.” But then would go on to say how it changed or how he improved and how they loved him etc - so it had some funny anecdotes. It was really positive overall.

unrelated, but also in the podcast he mentioned how it’s not worth it to write any negative articles about England players as he insinuated it’s bad for your career. He did hint at some unflattering things about Palmer (which have been echoed elsewhere).

His acceleration is very quick but his top speed isn't - and I've noticed times he seems to be left behind by the opposition which could be down to workrate at this stage. But he's young, and he'll improve or he'll be out of the team.

Promising signs so far from such a raw talent - he certainly gives us that different option in attack.

He`s ace but not fit enough yet imo, he can burst away but couldnt do it say the way Leroy used to?
