Hope they issue very long term permits if that's the case. It's complete and utter madness, residents parking bays next to the cemetery, how does that work??......

That's another 400 car parking spaces goneThere are some odd gaps unmarked on Bank Street. And some weird 50 yard sections marked out. Glad they fixed the potholes and undulating road ahead of the linemarking.
Depends how far you can walk!!!Is it now no parking within walking distance of the ground?
Someone must have done a recce. If it has changed, it’ll be chaos. Is it now no parking within walking distance of the ground?
Thanks, that’s very helpful xxDepends how far you can walk!!!
Gonna be chaos at some stage when it comes in. Thanks Andy BurnhamSomeone must have done a recce. If it has changed, it’ll be chaos.
I’d be more for it if we actually had public transport fit for purpose.Gonna be chaos at some stage when it comes in. Thanks Andy Burnham
Eventually it will be no FREE parking within about a mile I’d say, although there will be some exceptions. Parking can be found for £5 to £8. North of the stadium you’ll need to be north of Oldham Road to park for free, don’t know about the other sides of the ground. No idea where there is but we’re just paying now. I’d like to have a beer or two but the public transport just takes too long and is too uncomfortable so will be arriving as late as possible so it’s the club that lose out from our group. Not sure that piss they sell is good for me anyway! Is it now no parking within walking distance of the ground?
There’ll be as many (I should say as few) trams as there are now. Inadequate and patheticI’d be more for it if we actually had public transport fit for purpose.
It’s appalling. Presumably there’ll be no street parking for people going to the coop arena either?Eventually it will be no FREE parking within about a mile I’d say, although there will be some exceptions. It's the Co-Op Arenna that has brought this on. 20-25 days of 3hrs of parking versus 250+ days of afternoon and evening parking. Yes we know the best thing to do is to ensure come April there is a Metrolink running doubles every 6 minutes and a fleet of buses from City Centre to the Co-Op / Etihad. It’s appalling. It’s what happens to the parking prices when the arena opens that worries me. I’ve tried public transport to the match and it is too slow, too uncomfortable, too unreliable and too expensive. It has zero benefits versus driving for our group, but I think parking charges will rocket when there’s an event on and spaces will be sparse. We’ll have to see what solutions the club and TfGM come up with but I’m really not expecting much. It’s appalling. Presumably there’ll be no street parking for people going to the coop arena either?
They won’t take any account of matches being on, they never doIt’s what happens to the parking prices when the arena opens that worries me.
