Champions Again booming out seemed to inspire the lads in the 2nd half and the non stop Alvarez song for 5 minutes near the end sounded brilliant.
“He’s Man City’s and he’s Argentine,City fans amazing today.
What are the lyrics for that song near the end? Sounded ace! To the tune of Spirit in the Sky I think?!
Nice one, cheers bud!“He’s Man City’s and he’s Argentine,
Scoring goals in the Blue and White,
Scoring goals is what he does best,
And he goes by the name of Alvarez”
“He’s Man City’s magic Argentine”“He’s Man City’s and he’s Argentine,

Scoring goals is what he does best,
And he goes by the name of Alvarez”

Behave for ffsDon’t know if anyone listened to the Bluemoon podcast week. The Luton fan previewing the game was asked what could City expect at Kenilworth Rd. “A lot of noise and an atmosphere” he said and he went on to relate how “absolutely terrible “ the atmosphere was at every PL ground he’d been to this season.
Nice chap he was and I kind of felt sorry for him. He and his club have been on this amazing journey over the last few years with the elusive prize of the PL at the end of the rainbow - and he finally gets here expecting it to be amazing and he realises it’s sanitised shite.
The PL have stolen our game. We’re suckers. They’ve used our money to line their pockets and those of the players and taken away all the fun.
I used to mock a couple of lads I knew who went down the FC United path, I thought they were mental. Tbh if City had an equivalent now I’d probably do the same.
Great song“He’s Man City’s magic Argentine”
Really does make you wonder how they find these people. I took my 5 year old nephew to his first match the other week vs Leipzig and even he was able to identify which set of fans was singing at a given point.Normally I try to avoid Radio 5 and listen to the City website for commentary. However today as I was driving home from work and was listening to the pre match stuff on 5 live. At one point they were talking about how much Luton fans get behind their team and said 'as you can hear in the background'.
Luton fans may well get behind their team but I did feel the songs I could hear from them were strange choices....'Champions again ole, ole' and 'Blue Moon'.
This has nothing to do with media bias btw, just it made the presenters sound a bit silly!!!

My question is when we were singing about Alvarez and Istanbul for the last 10 minutes straight, did those commentators think Luton were chanting?
Both sides of away fans giving it them when it’s like this no more intimidating ground in English football
You could always cook the chicken and fix the roof before you try to fill Old Trafford.Would moving the away fans help with atmosphere? Not to 2nd tier so scousers can throw pints at us. But so we can have the full south stand and all the standing seats. The rest of the ground is dead so why not shift the away to one of the silent corners.

Might be a stupid question. So why are away fans not pitchside at St James's Park or Old Trafford? How many more times?
GMP won't let the club move the away fans as the away coach park is adjacent to the current away end.
Under PL rules a % of away fans have to be pitch side to aid the atmosphere.
The only way to move the away fans to one location inside the Etihad is to expand the away end on L1 to include blocks 111, 110, 109, 114. That way the away end and away fans stay adjacent to the away coach park, and all the away fans are pitch side, just like they are at Arsenal and Spurs. It would mean relocating all City fans in those blocks. Moving the away fans from SSL2 and SSL3 would free up those away blocks for City fans.
