NFL 2023-24

Chicago move to 5-8 by beating top-placed Detroit.
Another shite performance by the Lions, they got outplayed yesterday.

Not a good time to lose form as they probably need to win their two home games to win the division and get in the playoffs.

Possibly. Or, alternatively, they might fare better in the two games against Minnesota.

Goff is so hit and miss and his form is worrying now. Made so many poor throws on crucial downs yesterday that cost them badly.

All their remaining games are tough, but they are indoors
With their history, it really wouldn't surprise me if they don't win another game this season, but they usually play well at home.
I definitely can't see them winning in Dallas or Minnesota.

I agree, he's been very inconsistent every game recently.
There have been injuries on the offensive line, but he struggles big time when the protection breaks down. As he's a pocket passer, he can't really use his legs to extend plays, so he makes bad decisions or rushes his throws.
He hasn't got a strong arm either so he usually ignores their wide open receiver (Williams) downfield as he can't make the throw.
He's not going to be the long term answer.

That was one yesterday where he threw long to Williams and under threw by about 15 yards. Williams speed had him wide open and he had to basically stop and go backwards due to how poor the throw was. What do you know of Hendon Hooker? I know he’s been injured but heard a few good things about him if he can get fit and learn the role.

They like Hooker a lot, he was probably the best QB in college last season before he got hurt. He can do it all, he's big, got a good arm and is mobile.
If he can regain his fitness, they're hoping he's Goff's successor.

Browns managed to make that much harder work than it ought to have been. Should’ve been out of sight by half-time. A win’s a win though and Flacco looked decent.

Weird game, eh? Jags came back into two or three times. Getting two turnovers with a short field was a big help to them. That Cooper fumble....Frustrating would be putting it mildly. The scoreline flattered the Jags.

Giants defeat the Packers to win three straight and the Titans pip the Dolphins. Such a topsy-turvy season. Three NFC teams are now 10-3 (Dallas, Philadelphia, and San Francisco) and one AFC team (Baltimore).

Typical Dolphins leading by 2 touchdowns with just under 3 minutes on the clock and manage to lose

Pack were awful. The mummy’s boy Gnats qb was untouched. If the 9ers stay healthy they’ll win the lot. Loose McCaffery and it’s anyone’s.

Really good Lions win last night much should get them a play off game now. One more win to get a home game as well but just happy the lions finally have a play off appearance. Sam Laporta looks a great draft pick now as well, Brad Holmes really does get a lot of em right.

They were brilliant last night, the most complete game since Green Bay away.
The offensive line gave Goff protection and he took advantage and the defence were aggressive and making plays all game.
Laporta and Jamyr Gibbs have both been great picks, Gibbs pace is such a weapon.
