First one was very tight. I thought it was offside initially but " lines" showed it to be just onside.

Second Rodri in an offside position when ball came in and definitely interfered with play, unsighted keeper and Rodri made a movement that put keeper off.

Third
Lewis was initially in an off side position.
Rodro and/ or defender appeared to touch ball. When this happened, Lewis was back onside.
If the ball had gone directly to Lewis, goal would not have been allowed.

Like the penalty and the Ederson yellow, probably all decisions were correct.
Cheers, in some respects this is not the usual attack on Var, i.e it was shit/wrong etc, the moan is about killing the enjoyment of being there live. 3 goals, 3 celebrations, then 3 var checks. It's shite.

Not sure about that mate. He ducked.

His movement had the same impact on the keeper that Rashford had last year. He couldn’t dive until the ball went past Rodri, stopping him getting there in time.

We got the Akanji offside against Fulham, we didn’t get this one.

Thanks for that but I ask, first, am I wrong it took 3 minutes ? If so that is just wrong, no wonder people have conspiracy theories. Second 3 goals, 3 Var reviews, it killing the enthusiasm of match going fans. Its fine if I was at home, I can go and make a brew whilst they fuck about but live, it's just shit.

I’ve not seen any television whatsoever all weekend so can only guess. But normally the longer reviews are when there is more than one thing to review. Was there anything else to consider in the build up? I honestly can’t remember.

We saw in one of the ‘Mic’d Up’ programmes that the majority of time is taken making sure they’ve picked the right frame before they lock it in and draw the lines. Maybe there was a dispute in the booth over which frame to use?

Not really relevant to the time it took them but from the still someone has provided above, it’s that tight that it looks like a ‘benefit of the doubt ‘ one to Grealish. So might well have been ruled out if they’d gone with the semi automated system this season.

Today in the West Ham match there was an example of how ridiculous VAR can be.
Soucek took out a Wolves player with a flying arm to the head.
No yellow card for Soucek, missed by referee, but it was a red in my book but at least a yellow. VAR checked and in that instance a yellow couldn't be given retrospectively.
A few minutes later the same players involved in an almost identical incident, probably not with the same level of force.
A yellow card given by the ref.

Soucek should have been given either a red card or 2 yellows. Either way, he should have been sent off

Don’t disagree. The referee should have at least booked him.

It was Coufal though, wasn’t it?

Just watching that programme where they speak to Webb about decisions etc. I still think that Martial one at Everton was a dive! He was certainly looking for it.

Willy Boly got a 2nd yellow

I think that’s just a dreadful decision. If you don’t know the context and who was sent off, then from the video image you might logically expect that it’s the Bournemouth player who receives the card; he doesn’t touch the ball and makes stud contact on the Forest player first. How can they go from ‘actively encouraging’ some physicality last season to giving that a red card?

Up there with one of the worst decisions I've ever seen that one. Incredible.
