I have no problem with VAR. I have a problem with the incompetent arsewipes that run it.

They hide behind the "we can't go against the decision for the ref" stick that no decision with get changed. So my question is what's the point of it?

They are all inept cowards that are afraid of making big decisions
Yep. VAR shows exactly what transpired tonight. The issue is the corrupt officials. Not the technology!!

I’ve always been an advocate for VAR, in my view if used by competent individuals with a proper process then it can quite literally only improve officiating…

But if they insist on continuing to use it the way they do at the moment just bin the fucking thing. I’m fucking sick to death of the inconsistency and absolute farce. Fix it or fuck it off.

Honestly, it’s hard to imagine a way they could have fucked up the implementation of something this straight forward so badly. And for it to still be this bad 5 years later? Fuck me. What the fuck are they actually doing?

Simple people these referees. Very simple. As Mike Dean and Peter Walton have demonstrated on a weekly basis - they must hire exclusively from a pool of people that think bright lights and fire are a form of witchcraft.

Its deliberate. Trying to get fans to turn against it.

One thing is for certain, things have only got worse under Webb’s management.
You mean that you've not been swayed by his hand-gesturing way of explaining decisions to us like we're children?

What baffles me is how they've managed to fuck up something that should be so simple to use effectively. It really should have made the game better

When VAR was first brought in we were told that it was there to correct really bad and glaring wrong decisions, last night the two penalties, especially the second one, were both wrong decisions. What we have at the moment is a tool to reinforce them wrong decisions by the referee. So the question is why have it at all if they are not going to overturn these wrong decisions, we might as well bin it and go back to way was before.

Even the supreme being at Bing AI says it wasn't a pen.

Q: Why didn't VAR overturn the penalty for the Jota dive?

A:
I assume you are asking about the controversial penalty awarded to Liverpool in their match against Newcastle. According to former Premier League referee Mike Dean, the VAR decided not to overturn the penalty because it was not a clear and obvious error by the on-field referee, Anthony Taylor 1.

Diogo Jota, who was clean through on goal, skipped past Martin Dubravka, took a couple of strides and then went down in the box, seemingly unimpeded. The decision was heavily criticized by some, including former Chelsea defender John Terry, who called it a ‘shocking dive’ on Twitter 2.

I hope this helps clarify your question. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Do we think audio will be released from last night?
I mean what’s it likely to say - Atwell will confirm there was ‘contact’ - even though we all know it was a feather brush - and so there’s nothing he can do under Webbs’s guidelines as it was given on pitch. It would take an extremely strong ref to overrule their guidelines and say ‘it’s bullshit’ and Atwell is definitely not a strong ref..

The issue, as it often is, lies with Webb and his ridiculous guidelines that other refs hate as they’re incomprehensible.

The guy is as popular as a phall shart in a submarine with this fellow refs and the sooner he is gone the better.

Newcastle had a goal disallowed for offside, all i saw just after was a quick flash of lines which to me did not look right?? If is me or did anybody see it?
