The Title Race - 2023/24

A win that's kept us in the title race in my opinion, can't afford any slips at the moment, just keep winning until the big guns are back.

Still in our hands.

Win our game behind and we’re two points behind while being out form and not being able to play our strongest team at any point this season. If City click into gear, I honestly think we will piss it but we’ve got to stop conceding goals. That second half was much like the treble winning City side, more of that.

I know it’s been and gone, but those draws to Liverpool, Spurs and Palace at home are fucking killers.

Win at home to Sheffield United, and away at Newcastle, then it’s a two week break. Maybe we’ll have a fully fit squad then, including KDB and Stones, who got injured tonight. Then we go properly!

Big win that tonight. Along with the Luton comeback, we’re showing some resilience when up against it. Shame about the late capitulation against Palace, otherwise we’d be sitting pretty. Get De Bruyne, Haaland and Doku back and we’ll really kick on.

One saving grace is that we get that tough run out of the way just before the CL knockouts. Normally we have horrible games in between the KO games, but this time the quarter finals are sandwiched by Luton at home and the semi finals by Wolves at home.

Brighton are much better than 9th and Villa will be 4th or 5th. They're simply a better side than United, Spurs with the current injuries, Chelsea.

I'm still quite pessimistic about our chances this year. I just think 4 in a row is such a difficult thing to do mentally and our injuries have been terrible so far. But last night was a statement victory.

We are definitely in with a shout despite our stuttering form!
