You would think if they thought people were getting mistaken between the two it would be to their benefit, they are getting some free advertising on the world's number 1 football teams shirts, something that would cost them millions.
Other than that it seems a very silly venture, nobody is that stupid to think the tops are designed or made by SupersDry, hopefully, this will cost them a lot of money and another company goes on the do not buy anything off list.
For better or worse, we live in a capitalist economy and people who invest in and develop brands deserve protection under the law, so it’s necessary, and understandably very lucrative, and professionally you are up against very clever people, which any self respecting legal professional should relish - it’s just not really uplifting.
My girlfriend used to work in advertising and she described that industry along similar lines. Very well rewarded, exciting but a bit soulless.
Some people aren’t arsed about any of that though. We’re all different. We all have different priorities.
Every City related story on there at the minute is aimed at getting the rags and dippers fists clenching, and getting them in a jealous fit of rage. It's just so deliberate, the superdry one is airing as well
Great story though! This is all very true. Smart but not always successful, though, like all other professionals. I worked in a group of luxury brands for a large proportion of my working life and we had a problem with a factory in Mexico producing fake leather goods with one of our brands' name and logo. Ten years the IP guys were trying to get him to stop, but, being Mexico, he was always "protected". Then, one day, the brand's CEO ended up in a plane next to the owner of the factory and in five hours had taken over the factory, invested heavily, let the guy run it and made him very rich.
He was always a bit of a crook, though. Whenever we went to Mexico to do an audit, we would find the latest accountant had died the week before in a car accident and the new one didn't know anything. Every time. Great, four hour lunches, though. We were so pissed at the end of them we couldn't have found anything anyway. Interesting guy and happy times.
Sorry for the long story. As you were. :)

Nip it in the bud now and get rid, one order in two years will turn into a lifetime of misery if you stick a ring on her finger :-)I was actually told by my girlfriend as we passed a SuperDry store in London in December that I’m ‘not allowed’ to wear it.
In two years it’s genuinely the only order she’s ever given me!

From one club who fucked the FA Cup off to play in the Club World Cup.Some rage porn for raggies and dippers in the Daily Mail about City not wearing the Emirates Fa cup logo on the sleeve of the shirt this weekend. Comments section is hilarious.

But they are paying us to use their logo. But Asahi wouldn't be manufacturing our training tops.
I don't know, but he might have become older than his brother during the match. Or did Jude become younger? The eternal 17 year old! How old is Jobe? Got the Barcodes v Sunderland on but with sound muted so Don know if his age had been mentioned...!
Far better than the alternative if one was to upset the wrong person in Mexico. This is all very true. Smart but not always successful, though, like all other professionals. You enjoy "row of grinning beards" Barney; he's a ****![]()
Who killed Sancho’s United career? The club? Ten Hag? Or maybe just football | Barney Ronay
Most sporting failures have a pattern but, as the winger nears a loan return to Borussia Dortmund, this feels like a fault in the way things should workwww.theguardian.com
Normally I enjoy Ronay's work but this one left me very confused. Maybe that's the point?
It's for people who keep losing zipsisn't it just....for middle aged, middle class people with no dress sense
I enjoy(ed) barneys writing style, think he has talent. Stopped reading him a year or two back as the "agenda" became tedious. Not sure how much he was writing to order or had/has control over his copy. Non football John Crace is a good read on grauniadYou enjoy "row of grinning beards" Barney; he's a ****
