Nearly every day on my new app I get a headline with a picture ' City agree to sell world class player' or something along those lines. Normally the picture has Grealish, Foden, Haaland, eddy etc. But if you look hard enough you see Cancelo lol

This picture has Haaland centre. The press/media are just about getting clicks. Ever man and his dog knows Cancelo is on his way

News now is just the internet version of Clubcall.

The League Cup when the champions league group stages are extended will cease to be a competition which top sides will enter. Where will they put the rounds in the autumn in when there are the extra a European fixtures to play?
Perhaps it's time to scrap all these meaningless international breaks which are disrupting club football. We managed fine without them for 40 plus years. Just an attempt to milk money from broadasters. The standard of football is off-the-scale bad in most of the matches.

possibly if my Dad bothered about anyone but City, he may have favoured Rangers just to upset his Cetic loving Dad lol......nah just the way it was in my house Blue first but Grandparents and mum Celtic, Cousins preferred Hibs so she had a soft spot for them as well.
Always follow the Hibs results since we signed Bobby Johnstone from them.

This is one thing that just about every football fan I know agrees with (regardless of which team they support).
What is the bloody point? especially the friendly matches and that Nations Cup thing.. Keep the internationals midweek, like they were for years.
Obviously, the Premier League (as does most leagues) has a lot more internationals from all different nationalities, but you can get around the world (or to Europe for the home nations) pretty quickly these days.
The bosses may start moaning about 'sufficient rest times 'so just play Saturday before and Sunday after the internationals.
There's another one of said annotingbreaks in a couple of weeks isn't there!!??

Anoting, that's a new word (I think) Annoying meant to put!

BBC news article on increase in football related arrests. Manage to specify club allegiances in one paragraph but not the other..
That BBC article also starts that article with a piece on the the assault of Arsenal's goalie, Ramsdale, by a Spurs fan.
Any news on the poor girl who was scarred at this match ? Have the Police given any update on finding the culprit ?
Perhaps, because nobody has been charged, are the BBC nervous to state where the pint pot was thrown from ?

Liverpool `Plant` in the Media

Is anyone aware of Chris Bascombe who writes frequently in the football pages of The Telegraph?

He was formerly from the Liverpool Echo and his most prized possession is a signed Liverpool shirt.
He is given exclusivity to write 3/4 times a week on Liverpool.
Not only does he present them in a positive light in most of their affairs but frequently weaves City into his pieces.
In essence he is a Liverpool `plant` in a national broadsheet who is constantly drip feeding a pro Liverpool and anti City narrative, sometimes subtly but nonetheless it is present most of the time as he builds a narrative for LIverpool `fans` to trot out.

In his latest article today about US investment in LFC, he manages to spin a tale of wonderfulness in all things red and still aim negatively at City.

Can one of our financial observers on this forum please explain how a US fledgling company founded only in 2022 called, `Dynasty`, is able able to fund up to £164m to clear LFC`s debts ? And why the media has not covered this aspect?

Chris Bascombe is an embarrassment to both the Daily Telegraph and himself. He is one of the 'Northern Reporters' but writes virtually exclusively on Liverpool. He very occasionally writes on Everton but only ever negatively.
He can sometimes write 3 or more articles a day on Liverpool. All of them are the equivalent of fanzine articles.
The subscribers in the comments section absolutely crucify him for it.
As you say, he was ex-Liverpool Echo but left to work for a Murdoch publication and for obvious reasons, got absolutely slated for it by the Liverpool fans. So, in a feeble attempt to curry favour with them, he writes totally over-the-top, positive articles on all things Liverpool & Klopp. He is totally obsessed with us and in a very recent article about the rebuild of 'Liverpool 2.0' mentioned City no less than 5 times.
Another sad, pathetic 'sportswriter' who is stealing a living, but as we all know, the football media is full of them.
Bascombe really is a pathetic little turd.

Just started reading Andy dunce cap's article claiming we're thumbing our noses at the domestic cups. I only made it to the first paragraph but what a spectacularly bad take.

The bald fraud's won 14 trophies at City, including 2 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 5 Premier League titles, 1 Champions League and 2 Community Shields.

Don't know what God's gift to knitwear has to do to be praised or even treated fairly by the arseholes chasing clicks.
