PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It could be absolutely anything from an actual date to (as you say) some charges already dismissed. However given this seems to have originated from The Telegraph it's at least as likely if not a given that there'll be nothing whatsoever.
Why next week ?

IF we are hit with some punishment then I sure as hell hope we don’t meekly take it to the sound of rags and spuds laughing. I’m done with football for good if that happens.

If we are stitched up by their kanga-rag court then we should refuse to accept its findings, take it to whichever court would hear and fight to the end. No **** is taking our trophies and achievements away just because the shitty rags aren‘t winning anymore.

I believe we will be exonerated of any wrongdoing and things will carry on and it’ll all be forgotten over time, because I think our rivals are just clutching at straws begging the PL to try and find some reason to hobble us. It will fail because of a lack of any evidence. If Khaldoon says we’re innocent I’ll believe that until a court of law proves otherwise.

yep on Chelsea I am quite shocked that PL is silent. there were some hacked Cyprus email/documetns not long ago about some dubious deals they did under Abra, wonder they take these as seriously as the Der Spiegel hacked documents.

and also Boehly admitted they found serious fake things from past accounts under Abra-era which Uefa looked at and handed out 10 euros punishment for it.
how come PL not yet looked and charged them for these, given not much investigation needed as kind of self reported things.

if they were in breach of Uefa rules of incomplete financial reporting at the time than likely they have breached any PL rules at the time.
plus anything else that came out additionally on the Cyprus leak recently.

would UK media tho paint this as FFP cheaters, take away their trophies in said period etc?
likely not.
its only City.
look at the general consensus around Everton, Forest, "poor clubs they dont deserve this, but what about City"
They are currently investigating, so nothing else they can say. Richard Masters mentioned it in front of the Parliamentary committee this week.

The Cyprus leak is potential proof of what they're accusing City of, so I doubt it will be sorted quickly.

I'm not sure what you mean here. They investigated, and accused us of 115 infractions of PL rules. The whole matter is now being adjudicated by a commission. If the commission finds us guilty of some of the alleged offences, isn't that the time for the evidence to be passed on for additional criminal investigations?
If suspect an employee or anyone of committing a crime you pass it on ASAP t the police you do not carry on investigating and then find them guilty and sack them and then refer them to the police.

Plus the whole issue is in the open anyway I am confident there is no evidence of anything other than none cooperation otherwise. HMRC, fraud squad, NCA would have raided. Our accounts would have t show the investigation I would imagine the press would be all over it and the premier league would have stated it instead they have implied it. The press with the exception of Nick Harris wont use the term even though again they know what the implication is of what the charges probably because we would sue them into oblivion. What happened to that gob on stick who said that the shooting in America was fake or Trumps lawyer who said the election was rigged. The legal bill for slander or liable or whatever it is from the Mail etc would be able to fund us Buying Real Madrid if they pushed t

I spend a lot of time explaining to rival fans that "115 charges" is neither here nor there, it's the seriousness of the charges that they should be interested in. I honestly think the average punter on the street just thinks "oh, you've done 115 bad things" and that's that. I have to explain its worse than you think, but that means its harder to demonstrate than you think.

What's quite frustrating and 'shocking' is just how many people don't understand the legal process.

They confuse charges with being found guilty.

They believe the amount of charges points to guilt.

They believe all other charges and legal investigations should stop for our hearing to be held first.

The worst is some think it's on City to show everyone they're innocent and don't understand why if we're innocent we don't just release all the evidence now... showing a serious lack of understanding of innocent until proven guilty. It's not on us to do anything, it's for the league to prove things.

as far as my limited knowledge is i havent heard the police hmrc and fraud are all over chelsea and they've admitted wrong doing found in accounts

Choosing to believe that this will be some of the charges being thrown out over lack of evidence.

It obviously can't be a guilty verdict on any of them, not when the trial is so far away.

Can't see it.

Probably nothing.

If it's anything I think it will just be the date of the hearing or when the decision will be made.

I thought it was just him having a little joke? Just saying what we all think/hope?
He has a tweet on his X account today merely saying we should get 115 trophies when we are cleared. He has said to people replying that it's just his opinion that we will be exonerated.

If he had any new info I'm sure he'd be putting it out there even if it was in his transfer forum style (YouTube videos etc).

If we look at it from the bigger perspective - this is the last attempt of so called establishment to stop City's project.

They have seen how successfully club operates.
Purchases and Sells players
produces talent from the academy
utilises resource and every player, so that no stone is left unturned

last 3 seasons were culmination, when we dominated not only English game but European football and its biggest giants - Real Madrid, Bayern, Inter, PSG, Atletico Madrid, etc.

So what's next ? Eventually City becoming one of the biggest giants of world football.

That's why they are kicking us, it's the last attempt to somehow stop this amazing project and legacy Pep has built.

But these stupid people don't understand that stopping City stops English football. Cause since Pep's arrival, after like 15 years, PL became the best league in UEFA rankings and mostly, this happened because of City and its influence on other PL teams..

So damaging City damages PL..

This season only 2 PL clubs qualified for CL playoffs.
4 Spanish
3 Italian
3 German

Let's say City is relegated in Championship, which club is eligible to compete with Real Madrid and other ones ?
So eventually all the best players will go to Real / Barcelona and PL will loose its dominance.

That's what these idiots should think about, before starting to saw the branch they are sitting on..

Yeah, the single most frustrating thing I hear at the moment is the complaint that City have hired lawyers to defend themselves and they're doing a robust job and will get off on a technicality. No fucking shit they have, and if there are technicalities that let us off the hook then the charges aren't remotely as serious as have been claimed. The CAS reporting has set the groundwork for this, I think.

Dippers who know the difference between House Breaking and Burglary when they were twelve years old,and now pretend to be confused about any quasi judicial inquiry rules is beyond belief.

I can understand why some people fear a stitch-up, but it's going to be a long 18 months or so if you start heading down that rabbit hole. That way madness lies. Until we see anything to suggest the contrary, I'm going to assume that the panel will be independent and that we will get a fair hearing. Otherwise, what's the point in any of this? Personally, I think there is far too much at stake, on numerous levels, for the panel just to hand out some arbitrary punishment to us in order to appease certain parties. The fallout from a guilty verdict will be huge, so they'd need cogent evidence that holds up to extensive scrutiny.
If there is an agenda behind the decision, I cannot see how it benefits the league to issue us with any punishment. It raises a huge cloud over the PL over the past decade. They’ve said they wouldn’t issue retrospective punishment or take away trophies but you’d have constant calls for the record books to be amended. You’d have never ending stories about how the whole competition had been nullified and moving forwards you’d have the same cynicism around it. It threatens the future growth and revenue of the PL as the premier domestic football competition and in simple terms just doesn’t do it any good!

Finding us innocent of all charges just leads to a bunch of whinge bag fans and journalists who don’t have a clue what they’re talking about, claiming corruption. The same thing they do now anyway. It wouldn’t change things at all from that perspective in my opinion.

The majority of football fans think we’ve got 115 charges in the same manner as Everton and if they got 10pts deducted for 1 charge we should have 1150 points deducted. They think we’ve lied about revenues and inflated sponsorship and that we still do today. You still see question marks around our revenue despite the success we’ve had. They’re clueless and to be honest most of them probably expect us to get away with it, as in their eyes we have for so long anyway. So the PL might as well find us innocent. The red shirt clubs will be fuming, but they’ll get over it as long as the rules keep preventing Newcastle/Villa and whoever else from a sustained period challenging their position in the CL.

Think its time City took this clown to court and forced a court decision of cease and desist upon him:

View attachment 104324

If, as his hoped, we are cleared then, yes, I think the club will take action against him.

Almost all journalists say alleged offences etc to give themselves an out.

He's flatly stating we've cooked the books and it's not the first time.

He's pinning everything on us being found guilty and if we're not he's fucked.

If Nick Harris believes the 2014 punishment was for cooking the books he hasn’t been paying as much attention as he claims. And what kind of saddo boasts about being somebody’s guest before “calling them out”. Yes, I know he has issues but it’s hard to feel any sympathy
