Russian invasion of Ukraine

The thing is that could be true about Johnson.

Was hearing that last year, but nothing was reported in the press mind. All seems too obvious and simple though to negotiate and find a way to stop it all.

Far from a Putin fan, but it would be nice if the interview helped get people thinking and questioning our leader's roles in this conflict.

Peace is straight forward, get the fuck out of Ukraine you Russian ****.

Where exactly did you you hear that about Johnson. And how was he over ruling Zelensky?

Won't be able to find the exact source or video, but this is from Sep 2022. It's something I certainly heard around that time, and again since.

Putin saying that Johnson was responsible for tanking peace negotiations wasn't news to me.

Can you explain how ‘peace negotiations’ work with Russia?

You believe Putin. Bit of a weird stance I feel given that the man is a proven liar and ruthless dictator. I think that tells everyone on this forum quite abit about your stance on the war, or would you prefer it if I called it the Special Military Opperation ?

It's obvious and risible bullshit though.

Decent analysis here

Russian voices are still trying to twist the narrative to suit their interests, and some people are, unfortunately, gullible enough to believe them

A one sided story first of all.
Second, i would imagine the "peace" talks mainly consisted of "surrender the entire country if you want to live".

I think Putin would be up for more serious peace talks now, than then.

Still, this is for the Ukraine to decided, nobody else.
Peace on Putin's terms should never be accepted, now or ever.

Not every word he says, but I don't believe every word Zelinksy, Biden, or other USA diplomats. Truth is the first casualty of war etc. etc.

Would you seriously trust Russia to keep to any agreement it purports to make?

And therein lies the biggest stumbling block when agreeing anything with Putin.
Force and only force, is the only language this man understands. Until his demise, there will be no lasting peace.

So you believe what you posted tho. Do you believe in his reasons for his invasion of Ukraine? How about his claims that they have not targeted Ukrainian infrastructure? Do you think Ukraine should be free to make its own mind up about joining the EU and Nato in the future or do you think that a country lead by a dictator that has invaded and caused thousands of deaths in an illegal war should have a say?

What this mock interview confirms is that:
- Putin is a pycopath.
- Putin is a megolananic.
- Putin lies all the time
- Putin does not negotiate and will not negotiate.
- Putin is beyond reasoning. There is no peace deal to be done with him.
- If he wins Moldova, and the Baltics will follow.

In fact this interview is typical of how he conducts any international negotiation. He just tries to steamroll his opponents into submitting to his demands. Indeed, this has been affirmed by every international leader that’s ever met him. This farcical interview is nothing more than Putin’s propaganda to lie about historical facts & rewrite proven history in Russia’s favour to make them look like the innocent victim and righteous country. Putin is a man that for over a third of his life has got his used to getting his own entirely and removed every obstacle in his path. That includes poisoning his opponents, locking them up, or having them thrown down stairs or off balconies.
Anyone who thinks they could ever negotiate a fair settlement with this creature is beyond naive. That includes Marcon and Trump.
The only thing Putin understands is force. Only supplying Ukraine with enough kit to beat Russia will stop him. And the West has to stop pissing around and stand up to the bastard to force him out.
