You forgot that every Democrat might not vote for it given who is in the House.

That said, we are in a very sad state of affairs when a right wing Christian leader of the House becomes beholden to a know nothing “Fake Christian” Trump who can’t recite a single Bible verse…all in the name of political power for the far right agenda in America.

Johnson is a disgrace. Evil disguised as your friendly neighbor.

I mean he’s a South African so I don’t think he would care that much…

Anyway it’s no secret that Russia funded a big chunk of his Twitter deal along with the Saudi’s and are keeping it afloat right now despite losing a huge chunk of their ‘investment’ - they aren’t doing it out of the goodness if their hearts.

Of course he can - he’s refusing to even put it to the house.

Now of course the Dems could push for a motion to vacate to try and get someone in who would not just do Trumps bidding, but then the chaos starts again of finding someone who can get enough votes and still nothing gets done..

As of right now the only option is to try and get him to put it to the House and he isn’t doing that until daddy T says he can.

I agree, fuck all is guaranteed with the state of US politics right now. I'm not getting my hopes up at all for the aid to be voted through.

If he doesn't put it to the house the Pro Ukrainian Representatives can force it by raising a Discharge petition.

At some point in the next few days, the Senate appears poised to pass a $95 billion package that includes aid for Israel, Taiwan and Ukraine.

There are at least 15 trad Republicans that will force it - maybe more. (Around 45% of House Repulicans claim to support Ukraine - some think the limited support needs to be bumped up dramatically!). Of course some Dems will drop off with the Isreal element but not enough I woukd think.
We shall find out soon.
