Burnham is the archetypal career politician. He will say whatever he thinks will keep him at the top table. To me, he just sounds ignorant on most topics that he talks about.

Does anyone think that Burnham will stay as the Manchester Mayor for much longer ?

I heard an interview where he said he could do more good as Mayor so really wasn't interested in a central government role.
As for his lack of defence of us - don't forget if he comes out with a defence of us he could jeopardise the vote of the 25% of Utd supporters that live in Manchester :-) Every vote counts!
He has also faced criticism of his close relationship with ADUG. so I understand him wanting to tread a narrow line.

He's not perfect, but the alternative .... christ

It's exactly why he stormed out. He knew exactly where the question was heading. He could not chance that and the media savvy klippity faked his irritation by storming out. Burnham has been pathetic in his defence of City. The least he should do is stress that we are denying all the allegations. He has virtually said nothing despite our owner creating thousands of jobs in his area. He was quick to defend Everton even after they admitted guilt.

Don't know whether this comes under the heading of "media" or not but with my limited knowledge of civil law etc. How come videos like this are not considered libelous (or defamatory) nothing is proven as far as I know yet these videos remain online stating we have cheated 100%, no if's or but's.
I'm a wee bit puzzled how they can state someone is guilty before anything is proven.

I don’t see much wrong with that tbh, given its British media reporting it, they would reference a team he played for here.

I’d have an issue if Spanish or Italian media were referencing him primarily as an ex City player rather than Madrid or Milan.

He could perhaps stress that in interviews I suppose, that he doesn't know anything, and everyone should be waiting for more details rather than wasting energy guessing.

With Everton, and now Forest, there's a valid discussion about the severity and implications of the penalty so fair for him, as a fan of that club, to comment.

I don’t even recall him even saying that City have denied the allegations and been cleared once by CAS. He has said very little about the transformation of Ancoats and the Etihad Campus.
