flavour of the month. prefer another season to prove himself. in any case having signed a centre back each year for the past 3-4 years i think its unlikely.

Don't know we going to spend big this summer I feel pep wants another top defender he is going to play four centre backs at the back!

Do you guys know this stuff is untrue when you write it, or do you just have really bad memories?

Stones just started 6 city games in a row. We all watched them!

The Copenhagen game (which he played in) was the first City game he’d not started since he returned from injury.

Pretty sure Pep picked those sides not Southgate.

Also this idea that it’s club vs country is so outdated and lazy. The club and the FA have meetings about each player, they work together on how much someone is going to play. They don’t want him injured in a friendly either.

Agree with all that! Been the same for decades before it was rag fans saying it now it's us! Nought Will change..

The only reason the CBs are all staying happy is because Stones and Gvardiol have gotten injured.

We’ve got 5 international CBs who could walk into any team in the world. The squad can’t hold another.

The change in training routine won’t help him though.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Stones is one of those players who thinks he stays fitter the more he plays.

That’s basically how city use him now, he comes back and plays about 4 out of every 5 games until he gets injured - whether that’s for a month or 6.

Anyway if he has done his hamstring, I’m afraid to say it’s probably his own fault, pulling a muscle that early in a game points to poor warmup. Especially these days when they get daily tests to check for inflammation biomarkers, which is the sign someone is overplayed.

Yeah but that’s why the clubs and fa work together, like how Haaland has his own City physio, Mario Pafundi, who travels with him to Norway camp and keeps the routines the same.
Does Stones have his own physio? Maybe I just feel he gets injured more on or after international duty than he actually does.

Walker ain't getting younger one injury and we down to four if we play four centre backs we going to short!

Looking at his Transfermarkt, as far as I can see this is the second time in 70 caps / 10 years he gone off injured in an England match. The last time he came off in the 2018 World Cup group stage but was fit for the next game.

That wouldn’t include injuries picked up in training, but ironically given the reason we’re having this conversation, he’s pretty bulletproof for England.

It doesn’t incorporate the week afterwards though. As I say, it’s probably just a feeling on my part.

He may well be okay anyway. I’ve opened my adductor muscle slipping before and it hurts with certain movements, but can subside quickly.

I haven’t played professionally though!

He came off because he thought there might be a problem, he might well be fit for the Arsenal game for all you or we know, so he could well have listened to Pep and came off as a precaution, so maybe the twat is you
Hopefully, it wouldn’t be the first time or the last
