I was walking around the Etihad yesterday, stopping around the main entrance of the CB stand, having a good look around, a general look at the fans, listening to the different languages being spoken. and taking everything in before the match. We’ve become like Barcelona. If you’ve been to Barcelona you will have noticed the amount of tourists, day trippers, and football fans that fill the Camp Nou on a regular basis. They are now filling the Etihad.
Likely no different to any other top side in Europe.

United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal will have the same.

Like it or not, this is what success looks like to the people that run the club.

I got to the Emptyhad 2½ hours before KO, there was quite a crowd already there. Had a walk around and, what struck me, was the amount of half-and-half scarves. Hardly any English spoken. All the souvenir cabins had very long queues made up of almost entirely Asian and Middle Eastern.

Very true.

There’s been a massive change in our home support since City won the treble. It really has had a huge effect and change on our home support, which was clearly evident yesterday and at other home games against the other big PL clubs.

Huge effect...how ? There's still thousand of season ticket holders who don't sing, is that their fault as well ?

You’d argue with yourself in an empty room.

Did I mention season ticket holders who don’t sing?

It was a general observation of our support on a match day, especially for the big games.

Go away.

Why though ?
Football used to be a working mans game.
I used to see.loads of lads I've known for years at the game.
Yesterday I noticed loads of middle class foreign people taking selfies with half n half scarves on.
I didn't see one face I knew until I got to my seat.
Do you go to the games

Season ticket holder, stop going then if this pisses you off so much, its called success, or would you rather see us languishing in the championship?

I don’t know if he does. But he spends a lot of time on BM arguing with other posters, just for the sake of it.

PS. He does!

Absolutely 100%. I enjoyed the game.
People around me didn't. I don't think they really watch or think the players are robots.
Arsenal ensured our front five struggled. Jack and Doku made a difference but we couldn't break down the Arsenal block. Chess like football. Loved it but love all kinds of football. Will be at Palace and will be in Madrid.
