If Tolmie is posting that then surely the club already know the outcome and it’s now managing the PR dude if things for the premier league?
they used city as a scapegoat to say look we've got our own house in order, we dont need an independent regulator and they expected city to take a pinch and the independent regulator would go away and they could all go back to their old boys club, city didnt, it hasnt and they are fucked.I still believe the cartel clubs & the EPL had jumped on the back of UEFA 2 year ban & when it was overturned by CAS they wanted it to quietly go away.
it was all or nothing when the independent regulator green paper was annonced
It's also they get out of jail card as they can say similar to the cartel, that just like Uefa, We had City bang to rights but they've managed to wriggle out of it & there's nothing more we can dothey used city as a scapegoat to say look we've got our own house in order, we dont need an independent regulator and they expected city to take a pinch and the independent regulator would go away and they could all go back to their old boys club, city didnt, it hasnt and they are fucked.
I suspect that you need a new keyboard.I asm noot sure about that. The Superleague has come against a backdrop of financial problems for those clubs tht want the Superleague. City are part of that agreed. They do not like us making and taking all the profits. Their fans would defintaly want a superleague now though.
I suspect if they tried for it again the fans would embrace it.

I don't doubt that Tolmie posts in good faith but he's been wrong before and could be again. I won't get my hopes up until there is something official. If Tolmie is posting that then surely the club already know the outcome and it’s now managing the PR dude if things for the premier league?
Funny how the day after the government announced they would like an inpendent regulator the Premier League suddenly announced the charges.I still believe the cartel clubs & the EPL had jumped on the back of UEFA 2 year ban & when it was overturned by CAS they wanted it to quietly go away.

The football regulation bill is likely to fall by the wayside because of the election surely? Will have to be reintroduced from scratchThI regulator’s powers will derive from statute so it will be subject to JR.
He got the cease and desist letters wrong didnt he, need to proceed with caution imoIf Tolmie is posting that then surely the club already know the outcome and it’s now managing the PR dude if things for the premier league?
Correct. All lawyers really give a fuck about are billable hours and once they've totted up enough they will try and gain a settlement. Even a high percentage of un-winable case ends up with some sort of settlement agreeable to both parties and both sides lawyers walk off into the sunset with a pocket full of cash and reputation in tact.Relax about the legal position.
Vardy v Rooney libel case. Someone took that on despite the fact Vardy was clearly guilty. It made no fucking sense at all, but if you pay their bills and instruct them, lawyers will do what they're requested to (within reason of course).
Did he though most mentions of the 115 I have seen are now always followed by which City deny just enough to demonstrate some sort of balance. He got the cease and desist letters wrong didnt he, need to proceed with caution imo
To be honest the result is largely irrelevant we have been tarnished whatever the outcome and I honestly feel that was the main objective.
I was just listening to two mid 20 year old kids (one Chelsea fan, one Liverpool fan) talking about the charges. They basically agreed that we are guilty as sin, will get relegated and probably have over 7000 charges now after the season.
Even if we get cleared the narrative will just become that we got away with it, paid off judges etc etc.
Honestly not bothered one bit by it anymore. I accept we will never be liked and are guilty as sin according to the armchair supporters and users on Twitter. It is what it is
Fuck 'em... It will be all they've got left to chuck at us even though they'll know what they're saying isn't trueTo be honest the result is largely irrelevant we have been tarnished whatever the outcome and I honestly feel that was the main objective.

There is no question that the language of the big players has changed and moderated. Much more nuanced now. And this happened around the time Tolmie tweeted about the letters. If I recall correctly, only Tebas was named as a definite recipient. (The “freelance loons” do have influence but in any event would be difficult to constrain by a “cease and desist“ letter - don’t think Goldbridge would run it by his legal team !). I understand people wanting to be cautious and avoid false hope but the overall picture painted by Tolm’s successive tweets is perfectly credible and aligns with the likely progress of the dispute (discovery, preliminary discussions etc). There would be no gain for the club to feed him false information. Add-in also the very bullish remarks of the non-Exec Director in the Times Interview. I am personally very confident about the outcome - but could be proved wrong of course.Agree with this. The charges are still being mentioned but in the big outlets the assumption of City’s guilt has reduced. The tone has changed and the pressure is on the PL to sort it out. Personally I believe there has been some form of communication to the main media groups. The freelance loons continue to rant but they have no influence.
