ERIK ten Hag says there is a score to settle with local rivals Manchester City in today’s FA Cup final showdown.

Ten Hag claimed his Manchester United
side were better than Pep Guardiola’s City in last season’s final,
despite losing 2-1 at Wembley.

The United manager’s bold claim will be
met with derision from City fans, whose all-conquering side proved
themselves to be the best in Europe last season.

City went on to match United’s 1999
Treble triumph, by winning the Champions League, but Ten Hag claimed his
side were better in the FA Cup final and should have won.

“When we analysed that match, we were better than them,” said Ten Hag.

“I have data and we were, on almost every occasion, better than them, except in possession
He's honestly getting more & more like Adolf in "Downfall" , ordering non-existent, imaginary Army Groups to the defence of Berlin.

My battered copy of "The Big Book of Football Champions" annual (Christmas, 1955) reports on the F.A. Cup Final of that year and describes City looking "neat and trim in their sky blue", while the United that lined up against them appeared "dour & grim." Beauty and the beast, then and now (better result this time.)
'Twere Toon we played that year

Their best chance will be to be aggressive from the start, try to kick lumps out of Foden and hope that it disrupts us & that some of our players aren't up for the fight after our season's success and with the Euro's coming. That'd also galvanise their support - who I think are (rightly) frightened that this could be very one sided.

Fingers crossed that we get a ref who will manage this - and that we keep calm if their tactics are to throw us off our game.

Have woken up nervous - need to get back for some zzz's before leaving early in the morning. Come on the Blues!

Didn’t get much sleep last night.

Come on City, make football history today and do the double, double, along side 4 in a row.

Leaving in 10 Mins, come on City, get the job done and bring home the silver ware again. Up the blues!

Ian Ladyman article in the DM captures the desire to pay them back for the years of suffering. Even quotes Ian Niven calling them Stretford Rangers and correctly concludes City aren't yet close to taking the foot off their raggy necks.
Bedtime now while many of you in Manc are on the M6 heading south, got to wake up early to head to the Irish butcher for the bacon to make the pile of butties in time for kick-off at 10 a.m.
