I'm still hoping he plays Bellingham & Rice as the two CM with Saka, Palmer/Gordon & Foden through the middle behind Kane.
You missed out off your list the real reason England probably won’t win it ;Because it’s football and it’s a cup competition.
If the best team and manager meant you’d win the trophy then Man City should be winning the Champions League on a regular basis ?
So many get wrapped up and obsess over the Manager, the players, the formations, the tactics , the subs etc and yes they do make a huge difference but people forget that football is just a sport … only takes a couple players to have an off day , a bad ref/var decision, red card, hit the woodwork, missing clear chances or other bad luck and that’s it. Your out. So many fine margins. England lose on a penalty shoot out in a cup final and it’s ’we will never win anything with this fraud in charge’ the next day- laughable considering we got to a final only to lose a 50/50 shoot out.
I could never confidently think England nor any country will win it.
What’s ‘Trent’ doing as a midfielder then?Insane enough to surely be called out as utter bullshit instantly and not believed? I despise waistcoat but there's not a chance in hell he's picked a squad based on potential added media pressure to use players with a higher profile.
Because southgate will play 2. Rice and one other, which i think will be TAA.
We'll see, but you're wrong. He'll be in the 2 if Mainoo, Wharton, Gallagher and Bellingham get injured.
Looking forward to it………Southgate has fallen for the media hype.
The kid plays in a midfield that gets overrun and waltzed through almost every week and he's part of the reason why, because he has very poor positional sense as it stands.
He will get taken to school in later stages od a tournament if we come up against a good side with good experienced international midfielders.

He’ll give it away a dozen times a game.Mental that i think he will start the tournament in that CDM role just because he can pass a ball. Every other element of his game is dogshit, but he will start for england in a position he never plays for his club because he can pass a ball. Remember when southgate said Foden can't play as a 10 because he doesn't play there for his club.
Well now he will play TAA as a midfielder even though he doesn't play there for his club and he will stick Foden wide left even though hes just swept the awards board this season playing as a 10.
Of course, Southgate is so in love with TAA that he's played him in 8 of the last 50 England games and dropped him entirely from multiple squads. We'll see, but you're wrong.
The fact he played him in exactly that position on Monday night shows he is considering it.Of course, Southgate is so in love with TAA that he's played him in 8 of the last 50 England games and dropped him entirely from multiple squads.

As i said we will see. I still stand by the fact it won't suprise me if he does play him there.By that logic he's considering starting Watkins over Kane, Gallagher over Rice and Dunk over Stones.
Or maybe it was a meaningless friendly warm up match where went out of his way to pick a second team and give minutes to players he knew he was about to cut from the squad.
No it wouldn't. Fodens played false 9, Bellingham plays something like that at times in madrids unusual formation, palmer can do it, Bowen can play upfront as can Gordon. There's 5 other solid options on top of the 3 strikers for one solitary position that isn't up for debate as long as the captain is fit.
The manager who went into the last tournament preferring a back 5 and 2 defensive midfielders has named 7 defenders and an injured Luke shaw. one injury to Stones which is far more likely than kane, and having 6 defenders will seem infinitely more foolish.
If we're just picking good players then fine, but southgate's justification for dropping other people was "they've not had as good a season" - Toney's season was poor by any standards - inconsistency exists within us all, and everyone loves it when you point it out to them!
