The Conservative Party

Even her statement is piss poor.

There is no such thing as a right to privacy. English law does not recognise the concept.

What she does have is a right to respect for her private life. That is a right that must be balanced against the rights of others to freedom of expression.

In the context of an attempt to suppress news of a criminal investigation while simultaneously running for public office, as you say that is quite a stretch.

Pretty much how I saw it, just wouldn't have put it so well.

There's no way the story gets broken during an election without the lawyers saying it was ok.

a clear infringement of Ms Saunders' privacy rights.

"She is considering legal action against the BBC and any other publishers who infringe her privacy rights."

Those privacy rights being what? Would her legal team put her straight on that or has she got a Trump level legal team?

"Mr Sunak says he understands the frustrations of the public, but warns that "this isn't a by-election" and that a Labour government will do what they can to stay in power for longer than a single term."

The bastards ,don't they know they are allowed one term then should stand aside and let the tories have their rightful place back.

The Tories have lost the ability to do what they can to stay in power for more than this particular term.

They’ll stay out until they can put forward 600+ candidates that are stately and don’t try to govern via Twitter.
