Thanks for posting that. So Pinto is serving a four-year suspended jail sentence but still faces 377 more charges including the Ronaldo rape stuff. It is funny how the English press have totally ignored the broader context. They didn't even cover the trial which lasted months but it was covered by the overseas media.Bloke's a crackpot, should have been admitted to Bellevue ages ago.
Portugal, soft on crime.

Whistleblower Rui Pinto given four-year suspended sentence in Football Leaks trial amid ongoing legal woes - ICIJ
Dozens of charges against Pinto — who is also the source behind ICIJ’s Luanda Leaks — were dropped due to a recent amnesty. He faces 377 charges in a separate case tied to the exposé that revealed the dark underbelly of the global football industry.www.icij.org
You must have been reading my mind .... I was about to post the same thing !I take it the case went well for City this week, given the media are now pushing the latest bullshit from a convicted criminal.
As others have said, he would have released anything else before CAS. Maybe he's hoping City try to pay him off.
Either way, City have access to everything and the club are confident we'll be cleared, so I'll continue to back them over this crank.
He used the office and his position as Mayor Greater Manchester to lobby the PL is support of a company not in Greater Manchester I have requested from the combined authority and explanation of the abuse of the office They have 3 more days in which to replyWhich makes it more bizarre why the mayor of Mcr writes a letter in support of Everton to the Pl and not City
Maybe no letters but I know for sure that the club have been in contact with the BBC because I was told that they have to be careful what is said about the case by the 606 producerLet's face it, there were zero letters sent out.
Doubt there will be anything of the sort,
ever.
The club will just issue a statement, and move on.
Sky presenters will still put innocent under quotation marks, other media people will continue to talk about technicalities, 'lifted bans' despite being dound guilty by uefa, and spin it whichever way it works for them. The average fan will think whatever they want to.
The best we migbt get is Pep saying something clever from time to time, which will very quickly be talked over, and that'll be it.
And we will win some more.
I am at peace with it.

Because it’s all a big fucking fib.

Agree it feelsl very much like bullshit and doubt it stands up to any basic scrutiny. For example each side we believe have already exchanged their evidence pre hearing, seems very unlikely this stuff could just magically appear and if it did City would need a lot more time to answer so would be a big further delay.I take it the case went well for City this week, given the media are now pushing the latest bullshit from a convicted criminal.

I think it will be a points deduction for non cooperation as it's been set up for this. Have a look at the Everton case, they were originally found guilt of non cooperation when they were hit with the 10 point deduction and the only reason it was reduced to 6 points on appeal was that the verdict on the non cooperation bit wasn't legally sound as apparently Everton weren't orginally charged with it (fuck knows why). So it looks to me like it's a 4 point deductionHow can that be determined when the hearing is still months away? This can only be someone's opinion, might be a valid one but that's as much as its is. With respect to the points deduction for non-cooperation I somewhat doubt the club will accept that, in fact Khaldoon has said in the past we wont take a "pinch" again and to offer the PL away out, why? In point of fact any punishment will be decided by the judges and the only way out for the PL would be to drop the charges
Not a lawyer but believe illegally obtained material is unusable in a court, but City have not been to court. The real question is, is the material strong enough evidence to start the UEFA investigation, or the PL investigation. Personally i always thought it was highly suggestive but not proof. As for Pinto, if he were selling, do you not think he would have sold something more valuable, the first time?I wonder what the legal situation is regarding evidence obtained illegally. Is there a difference between investigating on the basis of information made public, and actively co-operating with a convicted extortionist to gain access to hacked material? You would think there would be, if that is what the PL have done as Pinto claimed.
But I get most things wrong on the legal side of things, so who knows? :)
You do sound a bit of a fannyThere is no point of personal insult. Your view differ from my view, that doesn't make me a total idiot. Does it?
Pinto is a professional hacker mate, IT security will not stop a decent hacker, much the same way as no car security system will stop a professional car thiefAll of this shite is because the club had effectively no security on its IT systems and they didn't think 'what if some thick **** clicks on a link'.
Not as bad as claiming for clearing up the unicorn shit on rawk.Perhaps it's going to be similar to the guardian releasing the MPs expenses bit by bit
One week we'll find out Khaldoon has had his duck pond cleaned on company expenses, then KDB claimed for a bath plug
I don't understand this non cooperation. City can get found guilty of this but the reason for the non cooperation is not looked into.
Why would City cooperate with a witchhunt against themselves ? Knowing that delicate information about financial deals will be passed on to the American owners.
There is a reason City didn't cooperate with both UEFA and the pl and that's because both leak things to our rivals.
In what other walk of live can you be found innocent but guilty of non cooperation ? You are innocent so why cooperate.
I really don't understand this non cooperation.
I suppose it's because these are breach of contract cases and the contracts between City and UEFA and the PL require the club to co-operate with any investigations. So if they don't it's a breach irrespective of whether other breaches are proven.
I think CAS said something like the investigative process would be a complete mockery if clubs refused to co-operate, so it is a serious breach. Iirc.
Exactly we didn't cooperate by failing to show them how guilty we were.... Where's the non cooperation vercict in other not guilty cases.I don't understand this non cooperation. City can get found guilty of this but the reason for the non cooperation is not looked into.

I'm going to email my MP, Angela Rayner and put the same question to her but the stock answer will be "we can only deal with issues that relate directly to the MP's constituency". I'll reply I'm asking for the thousands of Blues who actually live in her constituency and are affected by what's happening to a club that's a major part of their lives. He used the office and his position as Mayor Greater Manchester to lobby the PL is support of a company not in Greater Manchester I have requested from the combined authority and explanation of the abuse of the office They have 3 more days in which to reply
Nope, he is a chancer who has been successful by targeting organisations with weak / non existent security. Just because he has done it before doesn't make him a professional. Plus the whole email database was unencrypted.Pinto is a professional hacker mate, IT security will not stop a decent hacker, much the same way as no car security system will stop a professional car thief
