When did Holland stop being called Holland?
It is still Holland (the region), it was always just only a part of the Netherlands, rather than the entire modern country.

No emmerdale yet again, fuck right off
No need to watch it, Kaz. I'll tell you what happens...
Someone has an affair
Someone has an argument
Someone has relationship issues
Someone gets a new partner
Someone dies
Someone marries
someone gets in trouble with the law
Someone has a pint

No need to thank me..

Hang on, I forgot
Someone has financial problems

I wonder what our plan is to stifle the likes of Gakpo, Simon's and Depay? I can't see Kyle getting forwards too often or overlapping, probably need his pace today. They'll try and exploit them pockets of space to run at us.

Not sure what everyone is getting wound up about. It's quite alright for us to hate United and Liverpool and yet if the Scots hate England? No big deal. It's football tribalism.

Never knew that. Fortunately the question didn't come up on Eggheads ;)

So why are they called The Dutch?
Believe it or not, Deutsch is a derivative of it, and they both came from an Old High German word that meant “of the people”. It basically referred to the people from the German speaking parts of the continent (Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands in those days).

Old English speakers were very inventive.

Dutch comes from the german word Deutsch meaning of the People
Deutsch actually comes from the word Dutch, rather than the other way round! Way back when all “German speakers” were called Dutch, but over time the ones from from the area that is now Germany came to be known as Deutsch, whilst Dutch stuck for the area that is now the Netherlands.
