I mean you literally are, UEFA have confirmed it was the correct decision and have pointed out that both the referees and teams were told before the tournament that raising a foot in a tackle with studs facing an opponent in a way that endangers the opposition player would be a foul and a booking.I'm not...

It’s literally the most clear cut penalty.

I don't believe it was a mistake, did you not hear the explanation why to the letter of the law it's NOT a penalty? (This was explained live on itv by a female referee)Defender came in at an angle Kane was shooting, it's an obvious mistake by the ref and he got it right mate :)
Letter of the law it isn't, apparently? It was no different to when an attacker tries to block a clearance, doesn't get the ball and the defender then catches the player on their follow through. Its 100% always given as a free kick and the attacker nearly always gets booked. For me its a stonewall penalty.
Agreed, the problem is they change the rules so many times nobody knows themIt was a soft penalty which got England back in the game. I am sticking by it. I would be livid if that was against City and I would call it soft if we (City) got the decision.
It has. I remember Nani getting sent off for United against Real Madrid and their fans were up in arms about it but it was always going to be a red card with a continental ref in chargeRaising your feet in Europe has always been frowned by referees on hasn't it?
You only know that AFTER the incident, the problem is they change the rules so often nobody knows what is or what not constitutes a foul, even the "expert" on ITV said its NOT a penalty.I mean you literally are, UEFA have confirmed it was the correct decision and have pointed out that both the referees and teams were told before the tournament that raising a foot in a tackle with studs facing an opponent in a way that endangers the opposition player would be a foul and a booking.

That's irrelevant whether the wider public knew it or not. If UEFA have indeed briefed refs and teams prior to the tournament then that's all that matters and no-one can have any complaints when it doesn't go their way.You only know that AFTER the incident, the problem is they change the rules so often nobody knows what is or what not constitutes a foul, even the "expert" on ITV said its NOT a penalty.

No but if it went the other way you would be fucking fuming, it's no good telling the refs and us fans 'the mugs' haven't a clue what's going on, look I'm delighted we're through but it's just another example of OUR game being fucked over. That's irrelevant whether the wider public knew it or not. Why would I be fuming when I thought it was a pen? ;)No but if it went the other way you would be fucking fuming, it's no good telling the refs and us fans 'the mugs' haven't a clue what's going on, look I'm delighted we're through but it's just another example of OUR game being fucked over.
So it is or isn’t a pen in the letter of the law?Letter of the law it isn't, apparently?
