Individual Match Tickets - 2024/25

Had no look yesterday but managed to get on today I tried queuing on both the computer and my phone computer ended up with about 30k in front but phone only had 2k, got most of the games that I wanted to but have had to move from 110 to 121 due to ticket availability for 2 together

Proper attendance criteria would thin out the herd and day trippers and tourists big time, but that's actually the people the club want in the ground because we've got PSR/FFP breathing down our necks and no-one buys a club like ours without wanting to turn it into a marketing and business giant as well as a footballing one.

To my mind encouraging more regulars makes more sense than chasing tourists for the long term, but probably doesn't look as good on a spreadsheet.

Agreed, not the best way of doing it, but basing it off of recent attendance won't stop the touts as they've been doing it for years, so apparently attend 19 games a season even though most will never have actually been to one.

One way of stopping it would be to do photoID tickets - you can only get in if you yourself have bought the tickets, as shown by your photo on them. A few festivals (e.g. Glasto) do this which has totally killed off touting. That would definitely alleviate some of the pressure, and kill of the tonnes that are listed on livefootballtickets.com or whatever (unless you take the even more cynical view that it's city themselves putting tickets on there that is...)

On Ticketmaster, when you pick seats for a concert on the seating plan, your not allowed to leave 1 seat spare.

If there are 3 seats and you select 2, it doesnt let you proceed any further

Maybe City could do this to stop is having 300 single empty seats dotted around the ground?

Feeling a bit gutted at the moment - I don't suppose I will be missed. I come up from Devon for only 10 games a year, so travel,hotel, expenses..... time off work etc - my choice and all that but have a young family and I can't really justify it now. To watch Brentford stick 10 behind the ball for 89 minutes and spend what I do......sigh.

Agreed, the amount of singles is absolutely ludicrous. The vast, vast majority of people will be going with friends & family, so easy to implement that system and stop the current situation of there being almost 1000 tickets left but only singles (v Everton, for example)

I'm just trying the phone option now. Apparently, according to the automated voice, there is no online queue. Really? 27k in front of me suggests otherwise.
 
For those struggling for tickets who have a valid match-day membership - I suggest you join the following facebook private group.

There were loads on sale for 90% of games last season & I suspect this season will be similar.

You might not get tickets until a week before but it is still a useful group to be apart of.IMG_3426.jpeg

Not all the tickets are on sale yet. Just some. Further ones are released closer to.

I do fully support your views nevertheless.

Oh no I mean I queued online both on my phone and computer and phone was far faster, I haven't tried ringing up I have trouble trying to get through on any random day let alone the day tickets go on sale

Yep. Current situation presents quite a dilemma to people buying for friends and family. Do you sit apart now or wait until nearer the game, knowing that some doubles or even rows might pop up then? Or do I just tell my lads they're only doing group stage Champions League this season, take them to Alty FC a few times and try again for STs for them when the new stand opens...trouble is, any STs in the new stand are bound to take PL attendance for this season into account...what a ballache

Well; I'm at work at the moment, so that's not an option for me. 15 minutes on hold at the moment. And 25k in front of me in the online queue. Down 17.5k since 10 a.m.
 
Managed to get the matches I wanted. Not many 2 seat options. Seemed to be lots of singles dotted around. Very stressful process and a big cash outlay :-(

I was 1154 in queue with vpn in jersey

39000 on home Wi-Fi
 
I’ve just got onto the site, trying to get tickets for my son who is a Cityzens member, the only option is the charity shield?! What a waste of a morning.
