Alvarez done deal - £82m to Atletico

Players and their wife’s/girflfriends don’t come to Manchester for the weather and the sun. They know the weather is bad in Manchester compared to Spain, Italy, South America, etc..

What I will say is, the players only realise how grey and wet Manchester is for most of the year when they move to Manchester. They aren’t prepared for that.

This last week has been perfect weather wise. If that could be replicated constantly throughout Spring, Summer, and Autumn, like in the Med, not a single player would complain about the weather in Manchester, bar the cold winter, which even Spain gets.

Yes of course, the other thing though is language, and culture. Don’t know what Alvaresz ‘s English is like don’t think I’ve heard him speak. Some players find that harder than others to adapt to as well.
Money and football aside I can see how some south American players would find life in Madrid much more appealing than Manchester. It would appeal to me too.

Maybe don't sign a 5 year contract to come here then without asking Sergio or Zaba what playing and living in Manchester is really like then ? Do some basic research before signing on the dotted line so you don't start moaning it's colder and wetter than you expected.

Lots of noise this am that Arsenal are interested for a fee of around £70m.

Realistically do you think City would sell him to us if our offer is significantly higher than Atleticos? He'd get in the Arsenal team as there's no Haaland to get in front of in the starting XI, plus he's very versatile. But it would for sure strengthen Arsenal in the one major area they are still a bit weak in.
Yeah, i think if the price was a fair bit bigger than what Madrid are willing to play. Another Jesus type player, will never be truly elite. Very good squad player for us who works his arse off.

He never said he’s unhappy, doesn’t mean if a chance to move to Madrid and be first choice doesn’t appeal when it’s offered.

I like Alvarez he is such an honest player and gives 100% every game. I think he ran himself ragged often doing the donkey work for the less mobile Haaland.
He is very honest yeah but February onwards he couldn’t hit a barn door with a banjo.

Hes a great understudy to Haaland for if Haaland is injured but we have far better options to play in the same 11 as Erling.

So a thermostat/ precipitation control device for the atmosphere just around the blue portion of Manchester. Might put us even further under the microscope but otherwise, simples.

He’s a winner, think that answers your question.
