Listening to Pep’s comments, the attacking target would be someone who can play as a striker and wide… so not sure that would be Eze. Also targeting a DM that can play in different positions.

Agreed to an extent but he doesn't need any introduction to the Prem, won't expect to start, has talent, and presumably well within budget

We surely have the cash for the right player mate? Bruno G may have been valued by the club at £85m max but now with a huge profit on Alvarez then £90-100m on Rodrygo would be seen as a proper boots for the squad as hes better than Alvarez by some distance?

Don't think he is a proven goal scorer - he's had 2 seasons of over 10 goals. That's with playing consistently.

We have the money to buy whoever we want - we could easily have met Bruno G's release clause, that wasn't my point. Pep mentioned cost and apparently the reason we didn't go for Bruno G was of our valuation. We don't really move on our valuations. With Rodrygo, he'd only leave because of lack of game time, wanting more reassurances of playing time elsewhere. For us, it would be a big big outlay to rotate with Grealish, Bobb, Haaland, Savio, Haaland etc. Just don't really see that happening

From a fans perspective it’s all been a bit frustrating this summer - not much inward transfer activity to date but, the big difference is that there’s been no reliable inside info. The club have seemingly been successful at closing all leaks and no doubt actively at City is unchanged from other years but we know less about it. We could have had unsuccessful bids for players already this summer that we don’t know about. It’s just a case of being patient and I’m sure it makes it easier for the club to do its business without all the media speculation. It makes you wonder if Omar was the one leaking info…. Who knows.

Those are his stats - last 2 seasons he has underperformed his expected goals by 4 and 6. You can only get away with missing that many good chances if you are scoring huge volumes as well. Don't think there's any indication that he wouldn't want decent money, and there's no evidence he'd be a good option off the bench. His passing is god awful as well. His only talent is winning headers.
