PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The inevitable but sad point in all this that despite the holier than though comments from a lot of other clubs officials and supporters must clubs have bent or ignored rules I would imagine that most clubs are a whistleblower away from charges.

I go back to the issues that we have supposedly self reported ( we don’t know exactly what they are ) and the data leaks many of the listed issues are to a degree interpretation of an email, a bank transaction or an opinion. On the face of it many are obvious but as has been said on here on many occasions the evidence has to cogent and case proved by the PL there almost certainly will be a void by the PL not being able to access RAs records or indeed get his side of the story.

As I said I just get the feeling that Masters is setting the scene for something and yes I feel be there charges, no charges a settlement or whatever it will be resolved way before the outcome of yours is announced
Thing is, the 'evidence' in the Chelsea case is every bit as damning as the evidence in our case, yet the Pl spent 4 years investigating us before making their allegations, yet you're confident Chelsea's case will not only be investigated but concluded before ours is?

Please excuse my ignorance on this 115 charges. I've kept up with the threads since Feb23, and read the reasoned arguments of why we are/ are not guilty and recently have become very sanguine about it, feeling its a witch hunt and City, will eventually be exonerated - similarly to the CAS judgement, but as the smear campaign from vested interest Red Cartel clubs and their various media shills, the damage has been done.

OK so I know we are 4 hours away from the new PL campaign opener (* PL guaranteed Rags win, they are back.....) but why has the narrative suddenly reverted- even on here to City are guilty again?? What's changed? Can someone please briefly enlighten me, I'd be grateful.

The usual fannies who shit themselves at every Twitter rumour have been on top form.

That’s it.

It does somewhat!! Ta. I'm probably very stupid, but until this week I was fairly relaxed about it, although admit to annoyance at that shyster Pougatch just casually (like hell it was) reminding the ITV audience/ EVERYONE just prior to the FA charity shield. Has it ramped up again since then - have Masters and Neville been spouting this week as well - hence the worry resurfacing? ( btw asking as am out of loop with media atm due to family illness). X
It's being ramped up because the hearing is to be heard in September and not November now (it was always going to be autumn) and lots take this as a sign we must be guilty.
Don't go anywhere near the coverage of the rags game tonight.
The programme starts a full 90 minutes before k/o and with 'punditry from Neville Carragher and Keane so you just know these minutes will be used to lay it on thick about the hearing.
Hope the family illness improves.
Take care

I’m still confident.
Every bit of shit I’ve read makes me more confident cos I’ve read nothing factual that says we’re guilty.
I read loads of bullshit, loads of hearsay and even more hatred.
We will be paying for the premier leagues Christmas pissup in the way of a fine for some petty charges though.

Thank you for your final line, we are getting there. Luckily we are at our sons gaff tonight, and although he has Sly, he wisely doesn't subscribe to Sports. I shall avoid, although had I been home would have probably had it on in the background. I am so far behind, it was only this week on the review of the 23/24 season that I saw that definite blatant penalty that was NOT awarded to Wolves in their first home game at Old Toilet last season... they are reffed soooo differently and it will only intensify against us this campaign as PL valiantly try and get that Arse PL win title and stop a 5Peat.

Makes sense now with hearing date changing that we must, indeed be guilty...... in their dreams.

Ta for info - appreciated x

I don't get this train of thought (not you but the twitter twats), that bringing it forward is a sign of guilt

To me it's a sign that we're ready to go and we're innocent. If we were fucked the last thing we'd be doing was agreeing to bring it forward

I believe we've been ready to go for a while.
Remember Pep saying let's do it now let's get it sorted in one of his presses last season

I'm not sure there's been any change. The original timeframe was 'sometime in Autumn'. Pessimists went 'could be November' (end of Autumn). Now it's the start of Autumn

Right. Can't be arsed going back pages and pages. How accurate is this?

What do you mean, how accurate is it? It sounds like Stefan giving his opinion on Talksport.
It didn't mention Talkshite and I don't got on Twatter enough but there's plenty of people on here who seem to know what is and isn't a spoof or a wum account.

Nothing at all has happened. If you were relaxed last week, be relaxed this week.

'There is a growing consensus among Premier League executives that the outcome of City's hearing will result in a points deduction so severe that it would relegate the club'

'According to The Times, one Premier League club executive said: 'The collective view I've heard is that an appropriate sanction would have to be a points deduction so substantial — we are talking here between 70 and 80 points — that it guarantees City a season in the Championship.'

Ok then.
I wouldn't give a shit if they did that
