To be honest, I'd take Sterling back. Doku has a big-time injury history, Bobb won't be back for a long while, Savio looked excellent but is still a new player, etc.

No chance. He looked like he’d given up here long before he actually left.

Eternally grateful for that Villa game, though, and the years before it. Proper player in his prime.

Not disagreeing with any of those points.
I just don't want his history tarnished by him being a shadow of his former self.

He's only been gone a year and played very well in the meantime. I can't see how he will tarnish his legacy. It's not like he's been gone a few years and been injured and not performing well.

Exactly. He'd clocked out 18 months before he eventually left. There's a fair amount of revisionism about Sterling from some posters on here this evening.

Will never, ever forgive him for the Lyon game or the champs league final. Should never have played in that game based on form and we dropped Rodri for that farce of a performance.

He was a class a bottle merchant.

I was no hater either, but he got worse and worse. Strange fella.

Doesn't need to run so much if the opposition can't get the ball off us..
Tight control and pass master gundo.
I did like them runs at the far post from him too , he did it once or twice...
Still can be picked on due to lack of mobility. There were a few signs during his last season at City despite the goals in the Cup final. We didn't offer him a lengthy contract.

Again that's not what you said is it?

I'd also suggest if you think Pep doesn't make tactical subs your not watching the game enough, nearly every sub he makes is tactical.
It was I mean he very rarely makes subs even when we are losing.

Media are saying WHY sign him back... Because we can and he's loved

Yes, game time could be a problem, But again Rodri is not Superman and if there is one City player who needs to be protected from burnout so we can get many more years out of him it is Rodri.

Simple answers to media, Fuck off and what do you know
The media wouldn’t have an issue if he was signing for one of the cartel clubs, they are running scared because they know he will only improve us.
