Scored a couple against us for Celtic during pre-season, & seems like their main player in the Scottish Premiership.

It's hard to judge how he'll fair in the PL. However, Txiki & Pep will have done their due dilligence, & if the price & wages are right for a 29 year old Japan International who must be prepared to play second fiddle to Haaland, then why not?

This signing will hopefully bridge the gap between now & when we can produce a first team striker of our own, or identify one who can rotate & challenge Erling for the long-term.

You never know. He could well end up being another Akanji, Fernadinho or Kovacic style, under the radar inspired signing.

Also let's be honest, his stats look alright. Sure a couple of seasons ago, he got 27 goals, but last season, it was 19 in all competitions and only 14 in 38 in the league.
