As you know we are in the South of Spain but good to see you enjoying your special birthday Spanish Tour.
Even here they are mainly Barca but quite a few RM supporters as well.
City are admired here and the RM lads I know really do watch City and the way they have developed (probably they fear City).

I see so many Spanish kids with City shirts it's untrue.
Even my Spanish mate Madrid born and bread Madrid ST can't get his sons a 10 yo City shirt off him my mate is in utter despair

What social media has taught us is that the stupid are everywhere and the simple fact is you cant fix stupid, the best thing to do is keep your council and the moronic will just yammer on and on and burn themselves out, the problem with the stupid is that they dont know they are stupid so arguing with them is pointless and they will just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience because you will become so exasperated by the fact you have to waste your oxygen putting them right you will just give up because you have the sense to do so and they will assume that is a tacit win because they know no better.

Social media means not only cant you fix stupid but you can mobilise them. Look at the riots last month, purpose misinformation led to lots of knuckle draggers trying to attack mosques. Media outlets, social media pages pump out their hate driven bile at City as they know they can monetise it. It’s been a wet dream for them since February 2023, where will they have to go to when all this gets chucked in the bin?

I think that it is now generally acknowledged that the whole purpose of these charges was to launch a systematic, cartel-led and media driven campaign to destroy our reputation as a football Club (ie Man City, fucking bunch of dirty arab oil cheat bastards) in parallel with denigrating our incredible achievements (ie it's not that we have the best coach and players playing the best football, or that the cartel clubs are utterly shit on and off the field, it's just because of those same dirty cheating arab oil bastards that this happened).

Obviously should they be successful, this would clear the field for the total domination of the premier league by the US-owned cartel clubs, who would then be left to do with football whatever they please.

But rather than playing victims to this, we need to be launching a sustained and high profile campaign that effectively counters both of these objectives. We should be hiring the same calibre specialists in the field of PR, marketing, brand management and promotion as we have done in the legal field, with the sole purpose of utterly destroying the impact that the cartel campaign has had so far and will continue unabated until we act.

This is a strategic approach and one that should be planned for 12-24 months, starting immediately and going into absolute overdrive as and when the outcome of these bullshit charges is announced. Naturally it sits alongside the work that will be needed on the legal side as well as maintaining excellence in all our on and off-field activities.

And keeping Pep for another 3-5 years or so will be absolutely critical.

I can only dream of a response like you propose. It would be incredible.

I cant imagine that Sheikh Mansour and the exec team are best please by the dirt thrown at the club and their personal reputations. Surely at some point they are going to want to start striking back.

If we are completely cleared of every single charge and shown we’ve done nothing wrong at all, it will still be thrown at us that we are cheats by rival fans. It’s football banter and that’s all it is. Like ‘yeah course you’re innocent’ despite legally being so.

It will be thrown at us forever. Like if your mate gets up with a piss stain on him but it is infact just spilt water. Not as far as yours concerned. He pissed himself and that’s that. Funny.

I don’t know anyone who has had near violent issues and genuine hate. Banter yes, and that’s expected between friends and rivals fans and literally nothing to do with a driven campaign by anyone.

I think some might want to re-evaluate their expectations going forward when this is all concluded.

Not that I disagree with you, but on their part, it's banter that they're hoping (adamant!) will all come out in the wash one day, and their jibes become factual, and lead to us fucking off for a good few years, and them returning to the top of the pile.

Let's have it right, this is the only hope that United, Liverpool and Arsenal fans have seriously got of seeing the back of us, and being able to cosy up with each other once again.

If we are found to be cleared, they can carry on saying what they want, fuck em, it's a coping mechanism for them at that point.

But ultimately if that is found to be the case, we remain the best club in football, on and off the pitch.

Tbf, I would imagine it's both. For a majority of fans of rival clubs it's deadly serious, for a minority (the educated ones, both of them) it's banter. And for a minority of fans of clubs not really affected it's deadly serious, but for the majority it's just banter.

And what has pushed any fans, whoever they are, into the deadly serious demographic is simply the one-sided and frankly ridiculously unhinged reporting in the press, encouraged by the usual clubs.

Going off my own experiences. I’ve never been to a bar in Spain and had a near violent altercation with an Everton fan, and I don’t know anyone who has. That’s not to say it hasn’t happened to our Blue friend who posted earlier. Seems a bit OTT although that’s likely due to the booze.

I’ve experienced banter. Nothing more.

I got into a conversation with an Arsenal fan recently, started with polite conversation then went on to football, which teams we supported etc, when I mentioned I supported City, he started off with the 115 bollocks and was getting giddy when he was saying that all trophies we’d won would be given to the runners up of each competition but when I told him that Arsenal were shit when the charges were relevant and you would be getting fuck all.

His confused look on his face was a picture.
