PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Isn't a firesale when everything is cheaper than advertised? So theoretically you don't need to save your pennies up.

I wish you would stop posting utter nonsense that dickhead tweets, it's making you look as thick as the loony.

Anyone who takes the time to find and read that arsehole’s tweets cannot be a full shilling.

I doubt it. Leicester’s argument seems to be that the PL had no jurisdiction to charge them as they weren’t a Pl club when they were charged
Forest might argue that they weren't a PL club for all of the monitoring period maybe? I don't know though, it's just a thought.

The PL rules, such as they are, are the equivalent of a local social club. Drawn together to build a bit of consensus and order but capable of a legal coach and horses being driven through them. Was all very well when the clubs got on but now they don't they are under heavy heavy scrutiny and will do well to withstand it.
A local social club doesn’t have scrutiny over organisations that are worth billions, and a local social club can’t afford corporate **** lawyers.

Agree totally. Was alluding to how shambolic they are. All the top lawyers in the world won’t be able to rectify the mistakes made a decade ago when the less well paid lawyers were knocking up the rules too

But presumably they were at liberty to amend them, possibly subject to a members’ vote tbf. But that’s a bit of a non-sequitur because the point is that no-one appears to have identified this deficiency in order to put it to a vote.

That is damning. The PL don’t even know what their own rules are or what a breach of them is. Fair play to Leicester, leaving the PL no way to say they got off on a technicality
That is exactly what I am hoping for if we get cleared of our charges, a clear statement from the club removing any confusion or doubt about the ruling.

From a perspective of pure ignorance…is it 2+2=5 to presume Leicester’s ‘win’ here is a sign that we’re in a good position? Or completely irrelevant?

My take on it was that the rules were intended to be vague and loose because there was no need for them to be precise. That all changed when the cartel or whomever began to ramp up the pressure to “do something” about city. Financial regulation in football was never done before to this extent and PL rules were never intended to serve this purpose. I can’t wait for the hearing tbh
