PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I watched the original clip live and even with the last bit he made a tit of himself.

Said he was “worried” and using daft words like “tarnished”.

He should leave the emotion out of it as words like that only fuel the fire of those who want us wiped out.

“Oooh this ex-city chairman is shitting himself and thinks everything will be tarnished”. Reinforces their confirmation bias.

Should’ve just said city are adamant they’re innocent and have a body of irrefutable evidence and then shut his mouth.

Whilst City will undoubtedly look for a costs award of successful, the non-cooperation harms our arguments as the panel would probably conclude that had we shared the information requested by the PL they wouldn't have charged us. We all know that's not true because of the politics, but it would be the basis on which the panel looks at things.

Agree with you there mate. We have a lot to be grateful to him for, but he came across as green as fuck, and somewhat diffident, in that clip.

When you notice all the media reports they all start with the allegations then lead onto possible punishment, not one report I have seen has gone into any sort of detail about the bit in the middle, the actual case itself.

Their audience isn't intelligent and it's a world motivated by numbers not facts.

I had a mate message me saying we were guilty because of the Mancini payments, I said why would the club be worried about £2m when spunking £40m on Bony and Rodwell!

It's laughable people think they know the ins and outs of this. Experts like Stefan still don't know the full details, hence why he can't be so bullish as to say we are getting off the charges.

All this talk of “going nuclear” and throwing some big dossier of information on the table to sue/destroy everyone is ridiculous.

City will say/do fuck all and will simply crack on with world domination.

This is the problem. If we win, we won’t want to torch the Premier League to the ground because the main point of being a football club is to, err, play football matches.

Also, as I understand it the PL rules state that a club can’t sue another club. I’m not sure how set in stone that is but I’d have thought if we had clear evidence that other clubs and individuals at those clubs have tried to sabotage our club and business model then we may be able to take action another way, ie: through the courts. Not mentioning any names of course but a certain lanky bald-headed streak of piss working for a club in North London may well be having sleepless nights. After all, I doubt our manager would go around naming names if there wasn’t something concrete behind it.

Perhaps he meant worried as in he didn't trust the hearing to be independent.

I 100% believe City to be innocent but I'm not 100% confident City will be found innocent.

Perhaps that what he meant I can't believe the pl have gone this far without them getting a result. It doesn't make sense. I know these people are KC but I'm still not 100% confident

He just said he was worried.

That’s my gut feeling too. The ‘nuclear’ option would be one hell of a departure from the ‘holistic approach’ favoured by the club.

One of the time barred charges was the Etisalat deal and we even provided evidence and a witness to disprove UEFA 's claims against us on that one.
