Keir Starmer

He didn’t need to take much with the contracts he gave to Infosys, the VIP covid contracts he dished out and the ‘Covid loans’ he paid to companies who subsequently went bust, some of which his wife was a shareholder in. As she was in several ‘future fund loans’ which were quickly turned into equity, prior to the company being liquidated.
Hopefully we can agree corruption is wrong, whoever is doing it.
Completely agree, corruption and cronyism should be called out whoever is doing it.

Starmer was happy enough to lecture people on the matter when he was in opposition, so I think it’s only right to expect the same standards to apply when he’s in power. Doesn’t look very promising though given his recent behaviour.

All the whataboutery of whos done what in the past is the reason politics and politicians are greedy self serving narcissistic cunts. Because by point the finger elsewhere its allowed to continue

Starmer is our serving prime minister
On the day he announced the WFA cut his mrs was pictured in a £2000 dress.

Hes the same as all the rest and it just goes round and round

Never mind what boris johnson did. Worry about the man at the top now so we can cut the greedyness out

Yeah that’ll be it. Nowt to do with the fact he wasn’t PM then so wasn’t known as a **** who likes to punch down and freeze pensioners.

actually saving their lives ending doctors strikes and getting the country moving again.
pensioners that will struggle can apply for credit and get help. all is ok. we're in good hands.

The income cap for applying for credits (and thus the WFA) is £218.50 a week. The full state pension is £221.20 a week.

So how will no struggling pensioner go without help exactly?

£221.20 is, currently, the MOST you can get, with a full NI contribution record. There are tens if not hundreds of thousands who get nothing like that amount.

Posts like this and your earlier one amuse me tbh as we have had years of the exact same thing re Tories yet as soon as it’s a Labour politician being targeted it’s not on?

Sorry but it is on, it’s to be expected I’m afraid.
As someone once said "they don't like it up em"

There are over 2.3m in poverty (so below that number). 1.5m claim pension credit and the rest (800k) is number the government says “don’t claim it”.

There are a further 1m pensions who receive up to £50 per week more than the poverty level (£218.50) so are surviving on less than £269 a week who are absolutely going to struggle and have no support

There is then another group of around 400-500k pensioners who are also considered will be put in to great hardship as they receive not much more.

This is where Age UK get their 2m will be put at risk figure from. Those not claiming + those with £50 per week of poverty level + those just a little above that. They assume some will claim who currently don’t.

If I was PM I’d be freeloading like fuck.
It's one I'm torn on.

If you're head of country. Having to work every single day making decisions which some we won't be privvy too, why not take the footy tickets. Watching your team is probably more therapeutic than cocaine.

I'd like to see him go full Tarquin in the corporate box mind.

You could argue that Sunak, for all his faults, was different in that he actually spent his own money on things, rather than taking freebies from people who then rather mysteriously end up receiving security passes for No. 10, despite having no real reason for doing so.

But then according to the usual suspects on here, and ironically Starmer himself, having a successful career and being well paid for it makes people out of touch. Whereas telling people that the country’s fucked and inventing a false narrative so that you can take money off pensioners who were already struggling to pay for their heating, before then gallivanting around the country on a variety of freebies - even having people pay for you and your wife’s clobber and then failing to declare said donations - makes you alright.
Sunak probably back filled the treasury when needed as well. Utter nonsense spouted by an idiot.
